Cangshan S Series 60140 12-Piece German Steel Forged Knife Block Set

I bought this gorgeous knife set for my husband’s birthday. The knives are amazingly fine, beautiful and razor sharp. The heavy wood knife block is uniquely shaped with exotic wood and crafted with fine workmanship. It’s truly the nicest knife set I have seen. When we opened the box, we noticed the wood block had been slightly damaged. One corner had a small dent from being dropped before shipping, as the outside box didn’t show any damage on the corner. I went onto Amazon to report the damage and to request an exact replacement. I quickly received an email with instructions to return the barely damaged set within 30 days and was given a UPS voucher, no cost to me to ship this heavy box. Another beautiful set was immediately shipped from the seller and we received it in two days! Impressive customer service! At my convenience this week, I took the first knife set to UPS. They scanned the code I had received in my email and took the box, taped it up and printed out the shipping label. I didn’t have to do or pay for anything. It was done. What I felt would be a real pain to return turned out to be so simple. No headaches. The knife set it so impressive and the customer service is equally as much. I highly recommend this knife set and the seller.

The knives are excellent. It comes with a sharpener. The knives are easy to clean and maintain, very sharp, and effective.The knife block itself is pretty good. It's not exactly masterwork craftsmanship (my father is an extremely talented carpenter), but it does the job. Part of the block will *probably* show stress splintering for you like it did for me, but the block continues to be functional even if it's slightly disfigured. I don't care about aesthetics as much as I do function, and this set is very functional. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the knives, it's just the block that is made from what appears to be oriented strand board.Highly recommend if you need cutlery.

Best knives I've ever owned. So very very sharp that I'm almost afraid to touch them. The wood block is beautiful.

Hands down best knife set we ever had!! The quality and craftsmanship of these knives are absolutely incredible. Seriously couldn't be anymore pleased with them. They cut with easy, they’re easy to clean and I love the sleek design of the block!

A very well balanced and sharp set of knives. I have used all of the set and none of them feel uncomfortable or give the sense that they are a filler "rarely used" knife. I'm thinking to buy a second set so in 15 years I have a replacement set ready to go. I purchased separate steak knives and that gives me the ability to purchase great kitchen knives and great steak knives, which never seems to be in one set.

Knives are extremely well made and comfortable in hand. I purchased a couple individual knifes previously and this smaller block set for our cottage. I have been a loyal Wusthoff user since I was gifted a starter set many years ago, and I believe I like these better.My only complaint is the block. It is large, too tall for under cabinets and oddly shaped. It doesn't fit well anywhere. I would go with another set due to this if I kept it in my home kitchen.

These knives don't disappoint and are the sharpest professional knives I have ever owned! Just the feel of the weight in your hand alone tells you that these are not cheap imitations. Hope to get a couple more individual items at some point too!

My son loved this set. He is an avid cook and can't believe he didn't buy a set a good German steel knives a long time ago....love, loves them! Price is great....other top brands are the same price for just one of these knives, which have the same top quality.
