dual POV hockey romance
I really liked this!CW - previous idiot boyfriends.Tropes - sports romance, previous playboy, holiday romanceJasper was a big cinnamon roll (slightly stalkerish tendencies at the start as a “woo”) and Wolfie was a strong willed heroine who gave good banter. From the second he crashed into her and she gave him a mouthful for ruining her dress, they were made to be.He is an absolute sweetheart in this book - such a softyLots of UK swear words too that made me chuckle. It was really slow burn too … like ridiculously so.I’m picking up the others in the series

I've and fire
Beyond excited to share my review.I absolutely devoured this little gem. There's nothing better than an English character with fire and guts. Wolfie is no walk over and Jasper has had to put in effort to capture this girls heart.Exceptional writing with laughter in buckets and alpha males who know what they want. Your welcome

Really good romance story. Go Jasper, he is lovely
Jasper is the most romantic guy ever!! He bumps into Wolfie in the street and after a snappy conversation between the two she tells him to get lost. Jasper is stunned and Wolfie has no idea she has just turned down the star quarterback known to everyone in New York. He is upset, he has no idea who she is but now he has met her he wants to see her again and all his team mates know about her. They set out to help him and the turn out to be good mates and there are some fun moments to laugh out loud. He finally meets her and after lots of persuasion on his part she meets with him. Eventually he gets her to have coffee with him then breakfast and then a game. He walks her to work every morning he hasnt a game and he is so lovely with her you want to give her a push. Wolfie has been hurt by her previous boyfriend though and so Jasper has his work cut out. He doesnt push it deciding this lady is worth waiting for and so it cheek kissing and thats it. When he is away they facetime and Wolfie starts to relax a little. He is determined she is the lady for him and he goes to great lengths to make her happy. Its a truly romantic story and Wolfie deserves a chance with such a loving man.

Jasper is the ultimate book boyfriend!
I don't have enough words to say how much I adore this book!Jasper is the ultimate book boyfriend- seriously swoony. His pursuit of Wolfie, his super cute nickname for her, the way he takes care of and loves her......perfection.The friendships in this book are amazing and you will fall for all these characters. I love how their stories are all connected and continue throughout the rest of this series. This is a real slow burn but it never felt too long/ drawn out to me- I love the sexual tension between them and the strong friendship they built. Your heart will break at points but rest assured it is all worth it in the end! These characters and so many of the scenes have really stuck with me and I've re-read it a few times, it's become one of my comfort reads that will always make me feel good. Can't recommend this book highly enough.

Oh Jasper ❤❤
Hero Jasper is captain of a New York NHL team, up until recently has been completely career focused and has only done casual relationships. Although knowing his career is heading towards the end he's recently begun to want more. Heroine Wolfie is a British girl transferred to new York for 5 months with work, a 10 year relationship had ended the previous year after she learnt he'd been cheating on her for a long time. These two literally bump into each other and for Jasper it's love at first sight, he then sends the next few months befriending wolfie and trying to convince her they'll be great together. Jasper is a sweetheart, his reaction to wolfie first turning him down is hilarious and so cute. The banter between him and his teammates is fantastic and you can't help but love those boys. Wolfie is funny and sassy but very wary about letting another guy in after her ex and especially as she knows she's not staying in NY. Again her friendship with Freddie was great! This is a serious slow burn, you literally can't wait for Wolfie to finally give in and when she finally does - phew! Smoking hot! Not all love stories run smoothly though so a little heartbreak and angst in there but ultimately leading to a HEA. Only a few little down sides for me, a handful of grammar mistakes or missing/wrong words. Nothing too distracting though. I don't mind a slow burn but this was sloooooow. I started getting frustrated at 55% in as it seemed like it was just dragging it out for the sake of it given they'd been sort of dating for months already. First kiss isn't until around 70% in and sexy times was around the 80% mark. For me it focused a little much on the friendship side and the romance was a bit rushed before it all blew up. Also I like a little look into the future with an epilogue and this one was only 1 week later and more to set up the next book. I still loved the book though and I'm certainly invested in the secondary characters, I'm about to go and download coopers book right now! Apparently this is a debut novel and have to say well done you! It's sweet, funny, likeable characters and a beautiful love story. No cheatingNo triggers (unless you had a crappy gaslighting cheating ex)
