Datel DUS0397 Action Replay PowerSavesPlus+ for Nintendo 3DS (Wi-Fi)

This product reads all of my cartridges perfectly without fail. When I first saw this I thought it would be completely wireless so I did not have to need a computer. However, when I finally got the base working (which took me way too long to do) I noticed that when I unplugged it to make it wireless, it powered off. Eventually from doing some useless researching I was able to determine that this is not wireless, which isn't much a problem, I think I just hyped myself up a little too much. One tip I can give if you decide to buy this, set it up over WPS, not wifi (trust me, it is much more tedious than WPS). One upside to this product is that it reads cartridges and Amiibo, so if you still use amiibo then you are in luck here. I have tested both the amiibo and cartridges and while I can say that all 3DS cartridges should work (I should because I haven't tried every game), I cannot say the same for amiibo. It reads all my amiibo perfectly fine, except for one, R.O.B., I don't know if it is a problem with my ROB or what but this thing simply cannot read my ROB amiibo (it just says amiibo: null). All and all I would hands down recommend this product for anyone considering it; however, if you just want it for the 3ds games, just buy the powersaves pro by Datel, but if you want it for both amiibo and 3ds games then I would say get it. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star is because it is not completely wireless. If this thing was completely wireless it would get 5 stars. Good luck deciding.

What is there to be said about the Action Replay PowerSavesPlus+? Well before I get started with my review, the main reason I wanted this device is to backup my game save data and access exclusive in game content that no longer works due to Nintendo's discontinuation of some selected services.CONS:1) The USB Power Cable is poorly designed and cheaply made. Expect to provide your own better designed cable.2) No MicroSD Card Included. Can support 32gb MicroSD that is if they are formatted as FAT32 which is needless to say very difficult to do on modern machines, unless you have third party software (no guarantees).3) Long Initializing / loading times when inserting a game cartridge (PowerSavesPlus+ seems to have problems with certain devices, so expect some trial and error)4) No physical application or software, instead what is provided comes from Datel's servers via web browser.5) IP Address provided by the manual is going to be wrong to the DHCP feature on router. Consult router's connect device list.PROS:1) Was able to backup and edit game save data.2) Amiibo Feature works wellOverall this device has some flaws and could of been executed more perfectly. The same thing could be said for the online manual. However, it works as advertise.

First and foremost, I'll say that this has exceeded my expectations, both the device (hardware), and the codes (software). The setup on this model is easiest of all. No installation, nothing. Just register your key with their servers (from your smartphone!) and you're good to go. A lot of people hate on this device because other things can do the same thing (through hard work and lengthy, complicated setups). Well, I'll be the first to say that, again, this device appeals also to the common user, not only the tech savy(though you must understand how to connect to a wifi network). Datel knew their audience and in my opinion....well.... slam dunk as they say. Currently using it for Pokemon Moon/Sun and AS/OR as well as Super Mario maker and there's tons more. Other devices sell for a similar price and yet, alas, they only support one or much fewer games than this does. Customer service is great too. Had one small issue where my key was suspended out of the blue and I called Datel support (or Codejunkies, I'm not sure) and they handled it professionally and efficiently. I was up and running in no time. Thanks again Datel and Codejunkies for creating a device that makes me a god in games. My only gripe with this is that.... well.... I'm in the US!!!! I wish there was a US based codejunkies :)

Pros-You can modify your 3DS games, like adding money, or additional lives.-Backs up your saves to a micro SD card (required)-Allows you to modify Amiibos like making them max level in smash bros.Cons-Clunky setup, requires you to connect to it through WiFi and configure it through a webpage, to your local WiFi, however I found this didn't work, and needed to use WPS to connect it.-When connected, requires to use a webpage rather than an application to apply cheats, or back up saves.-New games require you to purchase "Power Points" in order to use cheats.-Very little Amiibo support, Smash bros, and Mario party, but any newer Amiibos will show as null.Overall, it's nothing special and you're better off purchasing the standard PowerSaves, as this has an easier setup, has dedicated application to use with it, and no SD card required.

Couldn't get it to work, and I'm a pretty tech savvy guy.

My product worked, although the fact it was used before. It already had a similar card inserted, and there was no tape. Still a great product

After having issues with the lower end powersaves model not reading cartridges I decided to give this one a try. Upon first receiving the package I could tell it had been returned previously. After returning two of the other models myself this raised doubts. Those doubts were sadly confirmed. Datel customer service is useless also, so I exchanged for replacement. Same issue. Do not waste your time or money with any powersaves pro, plus, whatever. Ended up installing Homebrew much easier and less stressful
