Men's Mesh Covered Hat, Natural, X-Large

This hat arrived a little bit crushed because Amazon ships it in one of their boxes with little respect for the hat. It should come with it's own well fitted box to keep it in shape as it travels! Other than that, the hat looks just like the image once it had time to decompress from the box. Contrary to what some other reviews have said, the shape of the brim looks exactly line the image. It is held in shape by a tempered wire in the edge of the brim. It can't be reshaped because it is tempered. But my hat is perfectly shaped, I love it! It also fits perfectly if you take the time to measure your head size rather than just guessing. The metal wire will set off airport metal detectors so keep that in mind. With all that said, this is not a 'crushable' hat so it won't likely be easy to take on a trip unless you wear it on the plane. The plastic mesh on the top section will stay crinkled if it is crushed too much. I hope this review was useful, I tried to be very thorough!

The sizing chart is not accurate. I wear a 7 3/8 fitted hat. That should have been a large according to the sizing chart provided by the seller of this hat. I ordered the large and the hat is too tight. There was also a wrinkle in the sweatband that was right in the center of the forehead. That wrinkle left a mark on my forehead for at least 30 minutes after removing the hat.I wanted this hat for golf. I tried to alter it to make it work for me. I cut the chin straps off and even cut the sweatband to remove the wrinkle in the forehead. It is still too tight and leaves a mark on my forehead.Other than the sizing chart being inaccurate, I like the hat a lot. I hope this helps someone get the right size in the future.The hat will ship in a plastic envelope and arrive by mail. It was slightly smashed when I received it, but the wrinkles worked their way out in a couple of days by leaving the hat with something in the head area to stretch the fabric back in place.

I was eagerly waiting for this hat to wear at this weekends soccer tournament (its forecasted to be 95 degrees). The hat finally arrived last night and when we opened it, the hat didn't fit, not even tight, it wouldn't go down on my head. I followed the measurement instructions which said to order a medium and when I put it on it was so small it was like a toy hat (checked the label and it definitely said medium). I already had to wait for 9 days to arrive at my house, now I have to ship it back and wait for a refund to get another size up. Very disappointed. I included a picture of how small it is.

What you see is not what you will get. Arrives crushed. I waited a week to see if it would "pop back up" but no change. This is probably permanent damage. Stetson - which is supposed to be a premium brand - needs to do a better job! Returned - will buy something else and from a real hat shop next time.

Upon receiving the package, I noticed the box was not in a good shape. The box it came from looked like it was mishandled, the packing tape used was a clear cellophane tape different from the usual amazon recycled paper tape. I thought I was going to get a crushed, twisted hat but upon opening the box, the hat was not crushed, it looked like the one on the pictures from the description. But upon wearing the hat, I noticed that one of the chinstraps was behind my ear. Checking the placement of the chin straps, I noticed it was misaligned. I liked the shape of the hat's brim and the condition of the crown but having one of the chin straps behind my ear and the other one in my temple, I couldn't help but be disappointed so I returned and bought another one. Fast forward to the day that I received the second hat, I noticed that the box was a bit smaller and narrower than the last box the hat came in. Opening the box, I saw the hat's crown crushed. I tried expanding the crown to it's original shape and height but it won't return to the original shape and stayed crushed. I tried it on my head and saw the brim weirdly out of shape and it looks like a hat that has seen better days. It is so warped that I wouldn't even wear it as a gardening/ house hat. inspecting the back of the hat, I noticed that the band wasn't even glued properly as the glue is clearly visible from the back. I am very disappointed for this second attempt of buying a hat under the brand of STETSON. I will return this and planning to get an undamaged/defective one for the third try. I will update soon after I received the third one.

Pic shows a definite Western-curve on the brim- the one I received was flat as a pancake- no hint of Western styling. I was first told it was because of the packing and that after a while the shape would be like the picture- I tied the stampede cord over the crown to hold it in position for a week- no luck-tried a little steam, no luck- so now I am left with this dippy looking, overpriced hat.I called Stetson and told them this is not the quality I expect from them- they told me they do not make this hat- they only license the name to Dorfman. and I should complain to Dorfman.

Twice I've ordered this hat and Twice I received hats that were too large. I ordered a small but received an Extra Large the first time and a Large the second time. I presumed that the first time was a simple oversight and willing to give them second chance to get it right... THERE WILL NOT BE A THIRD CHANCE. I also have to wonder these hats are counterfeits as they are made in Sri Lanka (India); they seem to be made cheaply with the quality not up to what I've seen with previous Stetsons.

Compre el modelo en forma de hongo, la vd. esta muy bonito, en cuanto a modelo es lo que esperaba, sin embargo tiene un problema, la talla no corresponde al enunciado en la tabla de tallas, debe de existir un problema ya que esto es mencionado en otras reseñas en los EE UU, me quedo muy ajustado, aún cuando tuve la precaución de tomarme la talla con una cinta métrica. Es una lástima tendré que regresarlo. NO entiendo a Amazón, si ofrece productos en México debe utilizar las medidas mexicanas, son mucho mas exactas y claras respecto al estándar Estadounidense, aquí si la medida de tu cabeza son 57 cm de diámetro y compras el sombrero con esa medida no tendrás problema. En fin, no tengo idea de cuanto producto les regresan por este motivo, Leí algunas reseñas y se que lo hicieron. LA situación es que viene otro sombrero en camino y presiento que tendrá el mismo problema.

Very nice hot weather hat. Just received it and it was packed well with no crush damage and looks exactly like the picture on Amazon.ca. Arrived 10 days early from scheduled estimated date. Very light and looks like its going to my new flats fishing favourite hat. Not as big as an old cowboy hat but lots of coverage for golfing, fishing or laying on a beach. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Very well made...was a bit crushed on delivery (box too small), but it bounced back as soon as I took it out of the box. Brim was already shaped and you can't alter it (which I like - sturdy). Wear a 7-3/8 ball cap so went with the recommendation of another review and ordered the L/XL. Fits very comfortably and excellent for the hot sunny golf days. Played 4-5 rounds with it and no issue, even with breeze from riding in a golf cart. Don't know that I'd wear it in a two club wind, but again on those hot sunny days...best hat ever...

Fabulous Hat ,well made for the hot weather, breathable so your head is not so hot 😎 🤠 🌞🌡. Delivery was ahead of schedule too !

Packages delivered on time , when opened hat was compromised was worried about item losing its shape! However hat regained its shape and am very pleased with item !
