Zmodo Wireless 720p HD Security Cameras (2 Pack)

I bought this because the Zmodo 720p HD Outdoor Home Wireless Security Surveillance Video Camera System (1 Pack) camera constantly lost the signal at about 40-45 ft. from the Wi-Fi router. While the camera now works SOME of the time, it still does not work ALL the time. Set up was very iffy. Even though the Beam said it was connected okay, I still couldn't get the video feed. Through constant re-setting and installing, it finally started to work, but not consistently. Live chat was totally useless. It was 5-7 minutes between responses as if the person on the other end had to study the manual. And then he/she simply stated the installation process over again rather than troubleshooting. I'll get on the phone on Monday to try to iron out the problem(s).

Don't enjoy giving one star reviews but I think this really deserves it.Just to mention a few of the pain points:The NVR interface is so poorly done that it is almost useless. Very primitive options for searching through the recorded video - assuming the video gets recorded at all.The event recording is very unreliable - seconds of lag and far too many dropped frames - I just have it set to continuously record which wastes a lot of disk space and creates a ton of useless video.It seems as though they crippled the NVR to make it almost useless so customers would opt to pay for their cloud service, but judging by their apps and the "free" cloud offering it comes with I can't imagine ever having any confidence in the product or the cloud service.As other reviewers have stated, the network name cannot contain any spaces and you have to broadcast the SSID or the whole thing fails spectacularly.The apps are terrible. Can't view multiple cameras simultaneously, and many times the app gets confused and no matter which camera I select, it shows the video stream for some other camera. What if you want to view the video streams on something other than a mobile device or the NVR? Forget it.Oh, and the cameras use a proprietary protocol, so forget about using any other software with it.I would never depend on this as my only video system. I only bought it to add a few cameras in an area where I didn't want to run wires but it's not even very good for that. Fortunately my wired system is rock solid.I really wish I had something good to say about this product but it's just not possible.

Made the mistake of purchasing 2 ZMODO cameras several months ago. Originally very difficult to set up then worked poorly once i had them set up; customer relations attributed it to not having a strong enough wifi signal. Finally decided to try this extender to see if it would boost the reliability. 1.5 hrs trying to set up plus another 20 min waiting for on-line chat support just for the technician to ask what I needed and never reply to me again. Finally got connected to phone tech support, as i was processing to return to Amazon, and another hr later he agreed there was nothing else but to return. Done with ZMODO! time to find another brand that will actually work.

I have found that camera quality is excellent, and connectivity is generally great. BUT I have been unable to get the NVR (recorder) to function properly. It also will NOT reset to factory defaults. So I cannot clean-house and start over. I had to contact the company for help; they responded by emails initially, but were unable to solve the problem quickly. It took me weeks to have the time to spend in The Rabbit Hole again working on the problem. So they advice had not been able to solve the problem. I think that the NVR may just be faulty, and I am not comfortable with putting my home surveillance in a cloud in a foreign country. So I haven’t wanted to go cloud-based yet. I am disappointed to have all this equipment with not useful connectivity.

Theses were great cameras when we first got them and now not quite a year later we have had two of the four "outdoor" cameras go offline and not come back on due to water damage inside them. I can see the blurry parts on the other cameras from the water being inside them so it's just a matter of time before those go out and we have no security coverage outside our home. My husband and I have both called the camera company and we can return the two cameras but not the whole system since it's past the 6 months, really don't see any point in just returning the two when the next two can go out anytime than it's just a wasted shipment, not to mention they say ourdoor cameras so if half the product doesn't work it shouldn't be on the customer that the product is crap. This review has nothing to do with Amazon it is specifically about this product and their customer service.

I bought this to extend the range of two cameras I have mounted on my detached garage. They did pick up my wifi signal from the house but there was a lag and often loss of signal due to being on the edge of the range of my wifi router. I bought the wifi range extender because it claimed to extend it up to 200m (656ft) and 300Mbps. However, I found like many other reviewers the actual functional range extended was far less. In my case it extended about an additional 75ft which was enough to cover my needs. I also had hoped that it would easily link in with my existing system but that was not the case. After about an hour of repeatedly following the instructions I was able to get it work. For the price there may be other alternatives that install easier but in the end I am satisfied with it since I was able to get it installed.

Discrete, easy to set up and Great support. They all include a 30 day free trial for cloud playback. Range is pretty far these also. Able to watch my cameras from my phone, tablet or computer all around the world. Makes me feel much safer since I started with Zmodo a few years ago. always enjoy grabbing different cameras and accessories nfrom them to see what's new. But these four cameras are my main outdoor cameras. I live in Colorado and they definitely hold up perfectly in super cold weather and snow.

Buen producto, buenas funciones, para mejorar que la aplicación venga en idiomas, cómo el español, es un error que no sea compatible con Alexa.Y es lamentable que se estén descontinuando los productos Zmodo, es una marca que tiene buenos productos y que compiten al tu por tu con marcas como ring, wyze, etc, pero al parecer ya va a desaparecer porque ya no están vendiendo productos nuevos

Looks like it was built well... but I found it was hard to set up or it was defective... so it was returned

Me gusto mucho el producto, funciona muy bien en mi red WIFI, las cámaras cuentan con muy buen resolución, y el dvr es muy fácil de operar.

One camera was damage and i am still trying to resolve.
