Toddler loves it! Huge surface area and colorful. We do use our own paint brush. Not a fan of the water pen or roller that it comes with.

Take my money!
This is the best invention ever. My almost three year old and I have been playing with this for two weeks now. She asks for it every day despite me trying to put it away so she doesn’t get tired of it. I might enjoy it slightly more than she does especially because it’s relaxing and an easy activity to do with her while nursing my newborn all day. It’s large so not something I’d use for traveling unless you’re planning to spend a lot of time in an airport or something. Very giftable.

For the patient kid
I like how easy it is to pack up and take with you anywhere, the colors disappear before you can finish an entire section which can frustrate some kids. The print it also off slightly, so if you're picky that way it may not be worth it.

Simple Fun!
This is a perfect on-the-go item. Its folds up into a little bag, and opens up to a floor mat area for painting.The little compartment works great to hold the loose pieces.Simply fill the pens with with water, tighten the cap, and let the kiddo have fun watching colors form. After the items dries, it is completely reusable. The only mess is a little bit of water from the roller, but a lightly damp area is much better than stains everywhere. I can bring this item anywhere, and it’s perfect. Hope to find more like this.

Excellent for multiple kids
I purchased this toy on Prime Day, thinking it would be good for rainy day entertainment. We didn't wait for a rainy day and it's a much nicer activity than I expected. Because the toy comes with two water pens, my son and I are able to color together for a long time. He loves seeing the hidden images show up as we go. But what he loves most of all is that the whole thing folds up into a little case that he can carry around. He took it to preschool to "Show 'n Share" and it was a big hit with his peers. In addition to the pens, there is a roller to make paw prints (though I don't really see the prints showing up), so three kids can play at the same time.

Doesn’t include bus or characters
I was a little disappointed that in the product image it shows the blues clues bus and characters. I ordered 2 sets, one for my daughter and another for a gift. I should have read more instead of going by the picture because upon opening it there was no bus nor characters. Just the mat and water pens which was fine but a bit of a let down. It kept my daughter busy for about 15-20 minutes and I was able to get some housework done. I do recommend this product just know that it doesn’t come with the bus/characters.
