During the night you don't have to open your eyes to see what time it is. So light doesn't have stimulate your eyes and make it more disturbed than it already it. I guess you would need to be sleeping alone otherwise you might disturb other sleepers. Also good to use during mediation if you meditate alone. Again you can find out the time without opening your eyes. Watch out if you're at an event where it's all quiet like if you meditate in a group or you're listening to someone speak. If this thing is in your pocket or purse it can get bumped and tell the whole group what the time is.

I didn’t like the fact that the battery already ran out, it worked for like three days. I had given this to someone as a gift. This person is legally blind. I didn’t realize how much time I had to return it so I couldn’t return it, unfortunately I’m stuck with this product.

We have bought several of these already and will continue to buy more for my nephew who is blind and has autism. His schedule is incredibly important to him so he pushes the button many, many times a day. He loves the independence and control it gives him. They don't last forever (At our house they have to put up with a lot of abuse), but they are also quite reasonably priced and the batteries are replaceable. The voice is just loud enough to be audible, but not annoying. We are so grateful for this product!

My dad is blind and loves this

My mom is blind. She had this product previously and it last for about 2 years. I figured I would replace with the same exact product. This item lasted only 1 week past the return window (which was only 30 days). I contacted the seller with no response. I'm very disappointed! I know it was not an expensive item but it should last longer than 1 month and 1 week!

I bought this for my mom who is going blind and she loves it!Repurchased 2 more for my mom, very deaf, she loves them. I have a hard time setting the time, the buttons on the back are wiggly.
