Diary of an American Exorcist: Demons, Possession, and the Modern-Day Battle Against Ancient Evil

Demons are real
Short chapters with stories of real cases. Fr Rossetti does a good job of maintaining attention and gives great advice on how to prevent demonic attacks. We already know that the demons are pathetic and will not win in the end so they are pretty much grasping at straws in any way they can to gain as many souls as possibly. Anyone can fall victim to their ploys so it's important for us to listen to Fr Rossetti, in persona Christi through apostolic succession, as he details how to protect ourselves.

Excellent read
My spiritual director referred me to Msgr. Rossetti for healing wounds and traumas deep within my family. I attend his online deliverance prayers monthly and thought it was honestly going to be a bunch of nonsense with little to no effect, but SHEEEESH, I was wrong đ In any case, I grabbed a copy of his diary because I saw his posts on Instagram frequently referencing certain topics he discusses within these pages. He is direct, to-the-point, but also gives great theological background for how we, the laity, and those in clergy with their ministry teams handle the spiritual battle against the Evil One. Very helpful stuff for those looking to know the ways of their opponent a little better!Msgr. repeatedly stresses the importance of patience endurance in suffering, humility, and frequent use of the Sacramentals in our everyday battle against the Evil One, giving practical, real-life examples from his own exorcist ministry in varied situations. This is a very easy read for anyone looking for something practical that you can pick up on and go at your own pace as you please, without feeling stalled. I have already recommended it to a few friends and have used this as my reading companion during weekly Adoration! Give it a read, it's worth it.And thank you again to Monsignor Rossetti for his hard work and dedication against evil! God bless!

Worth Reading
âDiary of An American Exorcistâ by @msgr.rossetti is worth reading. This is not a topic that I thought I would ever dive into or want to learn about - it is kind of scary to even think about. But after reading these short experiences that are shared, my awareness is intensified on how demons truly go about trying to poke and attack all of us here on đ.However, it is more satisfying to know that God truly is looking after us and working to protect us when these instances happen.Reading this book is a blessing because it has given me knowledge and awareness that I did not have before. It was even beneficial for me as I truly believe I have been poked at and am vulnerable at times to the plot of the demons discussed in this book.I appreciate @msgr.rossetti sharing some of his experiences.Started on May 18, 2024 2024 & finished on June 3, 2024 - 17 days.#book #bookreview #read #reading #bookstagram #educateyourself #lovetoread #lovetolearn #godisgood #faith #pray #blessing #godsplan #diaryofanamericanexorcist #stephenrossetti

Well informative. Not for novices.
The book is a little repetitive with some chapters repeating the same thing. The book could have been half the size and still been effective. Great read to inform and grow in Gods knowledge and reaffirm that The holy Family are advocates in our journey to eternal life.

Compelling! Educational! Inspiring!
It goes to show that you cannot depend on one person's negative comments about anything⌠a movie, a television show, or in this case a book. This book was so well written and very educational! And, for a lot of people, this this book provides hope and inspiration. We all give Lucifer too much power over us. This is a reminder to all of us that Lucifer is just another angel, who turned away from GodâŚ. maybe he was a the highest ranking angel at one point⌠but nevertheless, an angel. There were so many detailed and clear examples given of different exorcisms that that it goes to show you that demonic influence is more around us then we actually think. Lucifer's greatest mind trick of all is that he does not exist. And because of this there is only one point that I disagree about in the book. In it, it said that there is still hope for the United States. We are a very immoral country and have been getting worse. This has occurred more and more after the subject of God was pulled from the public schools. The only hope that I currently have is that those who are accepting the messages of Fatima, to pray the rosary everyday and to repent often, will be saved. And to the author, maybe the negative reviews of this book have originated from demonic influence as a way to decrease the number of sales. This book does a great job of exposing Satan and his limited capabilities here on Earth...if I were him, I would do the same. Why would anyone want their weaknesses exposed?

An excellent primer on demons and exorcism
I thought this book was excellent for what it was. If youâre trying to learn the basics about this subject, this book will certainly give you a solid foundation. Itâs written in a very easy-to-understand style, so you donât have to worry about having to look up arcane vocabulary or references every few minutes. I should say at this point that I am a practicing Catholic, so Iâm not 100% unbiased, and Iâm not completely sure if someone without a Catholic â or especially without any Christian background whatsoever â would find it as readable as I did, but I think they would. It addresses questions that Iâve always wondered about, such as: Is there a difference between ghosts and demons? If so, whatâs the Catholic Churchâs position on that â and whatâs the experienced exorcistâs view on the matter? One of the underlying themes of the book is that people are sometimes attracting these evil spirits to themselves (or even their children â yikes!) due to the lifestyle choices that theyâre making (for example, practicing âwitchcraft,â etc) but that people can just as easily live in such a way and practice their faith so as to insulate themselves from these spirits.Msgr. Rossetti is uniquely qualified to do what he does â heâs a very special person and priest, and Iâm very grateful for his bravery and ministry.

awesome!
I liked the authentic way in which the author presented the brutal reality of darkness. These chronicles push us even more toward Christ and His salvific grace. Thank you Lord Jesus đ

I learned from Fr. Rossetti
Fantastic teaching. Need of the hour when priests and lay people say satan don't exist.I see this as a good guide for Priests and lay people in the ministry.
