worked great.
Worked great. Needed to add a hole to my garage door for a tapo smart lock. Be sure to have 2 screws on hand to secure to the door frame. It flexes a little, so be sure its in the correct position before drilling.

Overall good
Worked for my purpose, was easy to install, and had a good design. The only reason I gave it to 4-star instead of a 5-star, parts became loose after one use. Though I purchased it for a single purpose.

"My New Door Handle Needs a Bigger Hole"
This kit was a real time-saver. I bought a new door handle only to find that the hole for the spring latch was too small and needed to be 1 inch in diameter. My first thought was to take a rotary tool to it, but then I realized that would just make an uneven, unprofessional hole. So, I looked into what carpenters do and discovered they use tools like this. The price was great considering such tools can reach $70 or more. I lined it up and used the existing screws on the door; it fit perfectly and felt way more secure than I expected. I connected the 1" hole saw to my drill, and it cut with precision—it didn't even take a second and went through like butter! There was barely any mess, and I was shocked and glad I didn't use the rotary tool; there would have been wood shavings everywhere. This is an awesome tool and doesn't feel cheap. You've got my vote! I do want to mention that I only used it to widen the spring latch hole, but I don’t think there would be a problem if it were a new door and I had to do both holes.

Doing good.
Works well.

Not so easy to use
It makes the hole but also breaks the back of the door or chips it. If the door has a small hole this will be really hard to use cause it needs something in the center to grab on to for it to start spinning without hurting. It's easy to use on a door without any holes.

If you're adding a deadbolt to your door, buy this thing.
If you're adding a deadbolt to a door, buy this thing. It was super helpful and easy to use. I am NOT handy in the slightest, and even I was able to figure it out. If you're installing a deadbolt for the first time, one thing that was a bit of a pain and I didn't realize ahead of time (because again, not handy) is that this cuts the circle for the deadbolt to come through, but does NOT give you the inset rectangle around the hole so the mounting plate is flush with the door. (Idk if "mounting plate" is the technical term, but I’m talking about the little silver rectangle on the side of the door around the deadbolt itself. Pic attached for what I'm referring to.) If you just drill a hole in the side of your door and then stick the mounting plate on, the metal plate sticks out farther than the door and your door might not be able to shut. To fix this, you have to chisel out a rectangle around the newly drilled deadbolt hole. I used a hammer and a flat-head screwdriver. It was ghetto af, but it worked. This tool makes the cutting of the actual holes pretty fast. It's the chiseling that took for dang ever.

Did the job. I wish I would have bought this at the onset of my project instead of wasting my money on cheaper alternatives. The guide and hole saw bits made this a very easy job. It lines up perfectly and the guide stays in place. Do yourself a favor and don't cheap out on similar flimsy products.

I was doing this for the first time as a DIY and the results turned out better than I had expected. There are some concerns when using it such as the hole guide being wobbly if you are using the guide extended. I extended the guide to 2-3/4" backset and there really is no locking mechanism (at least that I could see via instructions), so preferably pre-drill the center point before going straight in to avoid misplacement. The hole saws worked well but I do see them not lasting if you are doing a lot of doors. As some have mentioned also, make sure you double check and measure that its centered because it doesn't exactly fit flush, and sometimes has gaps on both sides. I won't fault the product though because it got the job done.
