This Casio watch really is splendid, it features a very large and easy to read display, even in dark conditions. The readout is so clear in huge digital form numbers. At the click of a button you can toggle between 12 / 24 hour time format and the watch also features a number of other options, including multiple alarms and a stopwatch. I haven't used these features, however they seem simple enough. If you want to check the time during the night, the watch has a very decent backlight that lights up the whole display with an orange glow for a couple of seconds. Adjusting the time is very easy and only involves pressing a couple of buttons. Battery life should be excellent, as the watch claims a ten year battery. The odd splash of water shouldn't be a problem either, as the watch is water resistant to 100 meters. The only very minor drawback of this watch is that the date display is the American kind. It's also quite a chunky watch, so may not suit small wrists. The strap is the resin kind and is absolutely fine. Overall this a brilliant watch, with its best feature being the large and very easy to read display. Five stars.

This is a great sports watch, packed with features and for the price, hard to beat. Being a Casio you know it will last due to its robust quality build. The screen is a great size, clear large digits make it easy to see at a glance, and the night light is very effective at illuminating the dial in darkness. This was sent to me from the USA as was hard to find in the UK and was delivered a number of days before the estimate, well packed and in perfect condition. I am very happy and it is a great addition to my collection, I bought this watch for my skiing trips so it will be well used and appreciated.

Well first off I think it important to emphasise that I do like this watch a lot, and am keeping it, regardless of the fact that it has the idiotic backwards date display of the month before the day. Also please be aware that the Casio warranty on these watches serms to be only for California, so any problems you are told to contact the place from where you made the purchase - I believe therefor that they are imports. The first thing I noticed is that the LCD display was not as 'clear' as I was expecting it to be. That is to say that the contrast between the time elements and the black was not as demarked as it seems to be in pictures or review shots. The result is of course that it can be pretty difficult to see on dull days and so even in the daytime you may be using the light although angling the watch just right will also work. Doing this will probably allow the watch to get close to the promised 10 year battery life. On the plus side the built-in light it relatively good and really does a good job of illuminating the elements of the watch (though nit as brightly as in my pictures). Other than that, which is a minor issue, and the idiotic Anerican backwards date display, for the price this watch is brilliant. It is comfortable on the wrist, it is satisfyingly large and chunky, even on my rather large wrists and it looks great too. It came with 'real' instructions in a thick multi-langwage booklet, but you won't need them. The labelling on the buttons are enough to get it done with little or no effort. It has five alarms (which I will never use). It has a Countown Timer, also which I will never use. It has a stopwatch, which I will use and a Dual Time which in my case, I set for the change in summer/winter. It can also be changed between 12/24 hour display with the press of a button, each press in timekeeping mode switches it, leaving a 'P' to the left of the hour in the afternoon for the12 hour display. It's comfortable to wear, the stepped indents on the strap near the watch allow for good air circulation, it's pretty light and the acrylic covering the face is well protected, being a good 3mm below the top of the outer rim of the case. So all in all it is well worth the money. So much so that in 2025 I bought the other versions; this model and the greenish one, both with the standard display.

This is a fantastic Casio watch and very much worth the £27 asking price. The display is large and very clear and no part of this watch feels cheap. The battery has an apparent lifespan of 10 years and the watch can be used up to 100m underwater which is brilliant. Overall the watch is very comfortable on my wrist and looks great. I’m very happy. On the negative side the watch was shipped from Amazon US which I had hoped would be at least shipped in a box but wasn’t. It came in a thin bag as if was being shipped to a local address in the US and consequently the Casio box was in bits after 2 weeks shipping when it arrived but thankfully the watch was ok so in future I would think twice prior to ordering anything from outside Amazon US.

I was looking for a waterproof watch with large digits which I can read without glasses when I am in the gym and spa. I've had a lot of Casio watches over the decades so this looked ideal I was indeed very impressed with it in a week of usage in the swimming pool and gym. However, despite never being dropped or knocked against anything I was surprised to look at the time one evening and discover a crack in the watch face. You can feel it with your fingernails. So I've unfortunately I've had to return the watch. This would have been easier if the Amazon return instructions had said that you need to print three copies of the "commercial invoice", place them in an envelope and attach to the package (for customs). Instead thy tell you to just print one and stick it to the package. So this resulted in two trips to the UPS pickup point :-(

Worthy at this cost

I waited a while before writing this review because I wanted to give an honest opinion after actually using the watch. I wear it every day, including at work, and so far it has been very reliable. My job involves a lot of hands-on work, so I needed something durable that could handle daily use. The watch has held up very well. It’s comfortable, the large display is easy to read, and the backlight is great when working in darker areas. I also like the alarms, stopwatch, water resistance, and long battery life. After using it daily for a while, I can confidently say it’s a great watch for the price. Simple, tough, practical, and dependable. Definitely recommended!
