We love it
Nice product, it’s really an alternative to coffee, but if you suffer from heartburn this won’t help.

Pleasantly surprised at good flavor.
I needed a coffee substitute. I saw this and a few other reviews. So I grabbed a bag. Needless to say I have reordered the bigger bag. I am really pleased that I tried it. The consistency is that of regular coffee. I have a Mr coffee 4 cup coffee maker. Plain and simple. Normal coffee I enjoyed 1/4 cup of coffee per 4 cup brew. Like coffee you will have to experiment to find the proper scoop for this. I have found that a lot less fig grinds is better! 1 table spoon is great for me. More than that the fig overwhelms, but…you may enjoy it stronger. My tablespoon and the same amount of creamer as before and I’m hooked. It’s a nice warm beverage that cuts with nice bitter taste at first, then you get notes of fig. I’m sounding like a wine snob 😃 but it’s the best way to describe it. I think I’m gonna try hazelnut flavor soon. I think it will pair really well. Adding sugar makes it even more yummy, but not needed at all as there is kinda a natural sweet taste (just a hint). I recommend mixing your coffee you have now with this fig and slowly ween off the coffee for about three days to avoid the three day headache from caffeine withdrawal that experienced. I 100% recommend this try this! The only down side thus far is it’s a little pricey, but now that I am using a tablespoon I think it will last just as long as or long as a regular coffee tin, or longer. I was pleasantly surprised and hope you will be too. Oh, final note. It froths really nice with a coffee blending stick!

A-fib killed my love of coffee BUT
Doc says no more caffeine. Took me 55 years to start drinking coffee and it became a morning routine. When I was informed to stay away from it or go decafe I did. But the dull taste and the chemicals used to strip caffeine away from coffee are a big turn-off. I don’t try ANYTHING at will but the need for me was greater than I would control so I saw this Coffig and figured , why not try it. This morning, it’s been here 4 days already, I made the same de-cafe K-cup and again…bitter, not enjoyable and aftertaste. I put 1/2 teaspoon into my re-fillable K-cup and hit the button for a 12 oz brew. I was so pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the first sip…. I sat down and wrote this stupid poetic review. But HONESTLY…it is excellent, tasty, smooth, not bitter no caffeine and the stuff is better for me than de-cafe coffee and it’s chemical laden soup. I am not a reviewer…but when something suits me …and this coffig does, I’ll pass it on if anyone want to know….this is a great product. Even the Splenda has not odd taste for me

COFFIG, not for me
This was way too bitter for me. Won't order again.

So good!!
Like probably most other people looking at this product, I was looking for a coffee substitute. I haaaaaate chicory, so that wasn't an option, and the cocoa drink didn't sound that good to me, then I saw this. I brewed up a cup and sat down with my husband for a our morning beverages. I looked down at it somewhat doubtfully. I kind of didn't want to take a sip for two reasons; first, because I had high hopes and didn't want to be disappointed, and second, because it smelled a little weird. So, I bit the bullet and took a sip. It was so amazingly good!!! I had added sugar and a splash of heavy cream, just like I make my coffee. It is like the ultimate comfort food, in drink form! I can't recommend it enough. I drink one or two cups every day. One regular coffee scoop makes a full French press of coffig, which is pretty good! I sometimes make a batch in the morning and put the rest in a thermos for later. I tried coffig gold, and my kids, ages 12 and 10, went wild over it. I like it ok, but not nearly as much as regular coffig. Everyone's tastes are different, not everyone will like this, I had my sister buy some and try it but she didn't care for it. For me though, it's perfect!

Did not care for flavor at all
I did not care for the flavor of Coffig in the least bit. It is also pretty expensive on a per cup basis. I used to love coffee and drink it nearly all day, and I wanted something to replace the habit. Coffig doesn’t scratch the itch for me in flavor or body. It is almost a sour taste and very thin and weak bodied. My husband didn’t care for the flavor either, rendering the $15 bag useless. We prepared the Coffig using a French press according to the directions on the bag. I reached out to Coffig via their website form to inquire about their satisfaction guarantee, and I’ve heard absolutely nothing in return—it has been over 3 weeks since I wrote to them. The email address they provide returns the email as undeliverable. Guess I’m out of luck. I am really glad I didn’t order any bigger of a bag. I do not recommend this for anyone who is looking for a coffee substitute.

Good coffee substitute
I enjoyed this as a coffee substitute and do plan to repurchase. I felt better drinking this during the day, especially in the afternoon. I love coffee but needed to lower my caffeine intake and I couldn't find a solid replacement for the taste. I think the best way to brew it is using a french press. I tried a couple of the other ways like pour overs and keurigs but they didn't seem to taste right (we're more bitter or overly weak). It is similar to natural processed coffee. If you don't like that taste I wouldn't buy it. Very easy to clean too in case it gets on clothes. I just used laundry detergent as pretreatment and I comes out.
