Are these tin cans considered a harder tin can than the regular altoids tin can?

I would say no, they are not harder than Altoids boxes. I think the construction is a bit better though and the closure seems more secure.

So I got these as a special item for my son and I. We saw a video on how to make little fire starter kits out of cardboard and melted candle wax. We thought it would be cool to do this and have a place to store them. These little tins were perfect for the size. Locks down well. No smell. No dents or scratches. Even, consistent finish. We got a multi-pack to make a few and gave the as gifts for the men in our family.
