Cosy Read
One magical winter's night in Venice, Didi fell in love. But it ended - and he left without even saying goodbye. Now, thirteen years on, Shay Mason is back. The old spark is still there, but Didi's determined to ignore it. As manager of a stunning Cotswolds hotel, she's happy at last, and soon to be married. Anyway, Shay isn't staying. He's made a promise to his father. He's going to keep it. And then he'll be gone. But Shay's return stirs up long-forgotten emotions, and the scandal that led him to leave raises its head once again. It's time for buried secrets to come to light. And it seems that this was someone's intention all along. One thing that I look forward to every January is a new, cosy, heart-warming read from Mansell and I was eager to get stuck into this latest offering and be swept away into a world of romance. This starts on a snowy, winter night in Venice, a completely magical night and a start that ensured I was instantly hooked. Fast forward thirteen years and we follow Didi and Shay as they navigate their lives, we learn what really happened thirteen years ago and discover whether they can overcome their obstacles. The plot is thoroughly enjoyable and makes for the perfect romantic read. The book is set in the Cotswolds and I adored Mansell's descriptions of well known villages and found myself transported to the beauty of the Cotswolds. This is pure escapism. So the plot is everything but a read like this needs characters to match and of course Mansell delivers. All of the characters have a role to play and all of them have a plot thread and their chance to shine. I always love Mansell's characters and this was no different, they are incredibly realistic and it takes no time at all for them to feel like old friends. They laugh, cry and fall in love and the reader gets to experience all of this alongside them.'And Now You're Back' is another cosy, romantic read from Mansell and has laughter and love aplenty. I adored this exquisite read.

Pure escapism...Jill at her best!
The problem with finishing a Jill Mansell book is that you’ve a long wait for the next! This, like her other books, is the perfect antidote to a cold, lockdown, January weekend day!I loved this story...I always love how quickly I’m invested in her characters and how easily she weaves several stories together...building anticipation with each one. Shay and Didi may be two of my favourites! Dreamy.Thank you for another great read! Highly recommend this and the whole Mansell library!! I posted this review at 1.30 am! That’s how much I loved it!

Not her best work
I love Jill and I enjoyed this book but compared to earlier ones this didn't quite do it for me. Something about it just wasn't as compelling, the outcome was super obvious from page one and the supporting characters were somewhat one dimensional and I found I didn't really care what happened to them. Still a nice cosy escapism read but lacking the usual sparkle for me

And Now You're Back
Set in fictional Elliscombe in the Cotswolds, And Now You’re Back tells the story of Didi and Shay who were in a relationship until Shay just upped and left without saying goodbye. Thirteen years have passed and Didi is now the manager of a boutique hotel, and engaged to Aaron. Shay has come back because his father, Red, is dying and wants to spend his last days in the old family home. They were both happily getting on with their lives, but find the spark is still there between them no matter how much they try to ignore it.The focus is not solely on the relationship between Didi and Shay. And Now You’re Back features a cast of colourful, well-rounded characters with believable backstories that add depth to the narrative. We can guess the outcome, but it’s fun reading how it comes about.Every year, in January, a new Jill Mansell novel arrives, and we readers can look forward to spending many enjoyable hours losing ourselves in the world she has created. I have read all of her books and they rarely disappoint. In And Now You’re Back there are secrets to uncover and misunderstandings to sort out, but it is at heart about the possibility of second chances. Thanks to Headline Review and NetGalley for a digital copy to review #AndNowYoureBack #JillMansell

A nice story
I saw this in the supermarket, read the synopsis and bought it on impulse. This is the first Jill Mansell book I’ve read and I enjoyed learning about Shay and Didi’s teenage romance, the cause of their break up and what happened when they met 13 years later. The story flowed well and with added bonus of the romantic adventures of some their friends and family. I felt that the characters were a bit lightweight, not a lot of depth to them but overall it didn’t really affect my enjoyment of the story.

Another wonderful Jill Mansell book
To be honest, for me, you can never go wrong with Jill Mansells books, I always look forward to her new ones coming out and this didn't disappoint. I always love the backgrounds to her stories, mostly in the Cotswolds which I love, this is the story of two friends with lots of history together. An ex-boyfriend making a re-appearance in one of the heroines life and lots of twists and turns along the way. Definitely recommend reading.

Happy endings (eventually)
This novel held my interest and I enjoyed meeting the various characters. The main two characters are Didi and Shay, who met and fell in love as teenagers but were then forced to part and only meet 13 years later when Shay returns home to help his terminally ill father move back in to Shay's childhood home. Although the story mainly revolves around Didi and Shay, her friend Layla's experiences are also featured. The most colourful character is Red. Shay's father and a career criminal, with his own set of morals. I assumed that Didi and Layla would eventually each end up with the right partner but the path to true love was very bumpy at times. Secrets from the past are gradually revealed during the novel and the impact on the characters assessed. The novel is well written too.
