My granddaughter was very happy with this product. She and her friends found it easy to play with, and a good learning toy!

This is as close as you can come to a realistic Vet game. The animals I'm pretty sure are real (ones that had pictures taken of them...and all over their body, ex. paw, throat, ears etc.) And before every patient, they give you a video clip and necessary information on the animal. That's helpful. What I like best is that if I'm unsure on what to do next (which is almost always) you can go to your PDA, click the info, do the hints...and it tells you exactly what tool to use and where to use it. The only disturbing part is having to use the thermometer or magnifying class on the animal's anus. Eww!I know all Vets have to do it, and I AM okay with it, because that's life! But if you get easily yucked out about that sort of thing - then I don't recommend this game for you! I personally like it alot, because it's so real...and the cases are real.For example, a dog comes in with a seizure or a limping back leg. Or...a chinchilla comes in who has been drooling excessively and is unable to eat. There's many realistic animal emergencies, and that's what makes it fun! Because it's like you're REALLY a vet! I would buy this game for someone's birthday or Christmas if they had a big interest in wanting to become a Vet, and were computer savvy. Not that the game is tough to navigate through - in fact, it's very simple. If you have a casual interest in becoming a Vet or just a Nurse/Doctor...or even if you don't but love animals...this is the game for you!!One last thing. I also like that once you diagnose the problems for the pet, and choose what to do on your clipboard (ex. to admit to ICU, release from hospital, diagnose the pet w/ an illness, owner education, prescriptions, etc.) and once you finish...it tells you what you did correctly, what you didn't...and what you didn't get right, it tells you what the right answer is! Okay...that's all for my review. I hope you like this game!
