Duluth Forge Ventless Dual Fuel Gas Log Set-18 in, Split Red Oak

Great set of 24" ventless gas logs from Duluth Forge. Arrived wrapped up tight and factory sealed. Set up is fairly straightforward but you will have to furnish (1) 3/4 NPT -1/2" male flared gas fitting as it is not included. Unit arrived set up for L.P. so that was a plus. Looks great and really puts out some heat. The remote control is definitely a plus as our existing gas logs were manual off/on. Looking forward to many years of service with these logs.

Ordered these gas logs Nov. of 2022. One of the logs was broke on arrival, but that didnt affect anything. They worked perfect for about a month and then the pilot started going out daily. The following February I contacted CS and they said to return them after going back and forth for weeks. After boxing everything up it took about 4 months to get some different ones back (without remote). It took another 3 months and about 6 emails and 2 calls to get our remote back. We used the "new" one for a couple weeks without issue for the remaining bit of winter. This winter the logs worked okay for about a week and I'm getting the same pilot light issues. We basically have to relight it every time we want to use the logs. I would advise against these logs and if you do send them back do NOT send your remote. edit: for winter of 2024/25 we daily lit the pilot light and the logs somewhat worked part of the time. They go on and off without warning so I would turn off the gas supply before going out. For the winter of 25/26 they worked for 2 days and now are totally dead which is probably good. The pilot wouldnt work, the remote no longer worked, the control box failed, and quite frankly I’m surprised our house didn’t burn down. I called CS, and was very nice to the young lady, to see if they would stand behind their logs; they didn't. They flat out said they are seeing a lot of calls related to this model. If you are foolhardy and buy these logs: Keep your box; you will need it to send them back. Don't plan on using these for more than a year and get ready for mediocre CS. Also, buy the extended warranty and don't plan on them lasting past that. It takes months for them to send a replacement (warranty ticking away).

I bought these to install in place of an old set and I love them. They installed easily, and the instructions were easy to understand. They function great and the remote is easy to use.

Admittedly, I didn't research this unit prior to buying. It works and looks good for the price. However, the remote is very basic. The temperature setting only increases, so you must scroll through all temperature settings (45-95) to make a minor adjustment. The thermostatic control only cycles every 7-10 minutes causing larger than desired temperature swings. The gas valve is loud, even startling, when turned on. There is no electronic ignition, so it requires the pilot light to always be lit. Overall, not a bad unit for the price, but, if you're looking for a more sophisticated log set, prepare to pay more.

Was able to install them myself. They give off enough heat i very s e l f om need to turn on my furnace.

Super nice. It was easy to assemble and program the remote. Directions were good and it took about 30 minutes from start to finish. The flame height is perfect. It is a quality insert and worth the money. Frankly put I would buy another one if I had the need.

We operate a guest house on our property where I’ve had a gas log set for the last five years. The original log set went bad and I ordered a new log set from Amazon manufactured byDuluth. It arrived and would not stay lit. Tried multiple things, including calling the manufacturer who suggested I check my gas pressure From my propane tank, which I did after purchasing a gas gauge set up. I Contacted the manufacturer again saying I still could not get the log set to work correctly and I would like to return it for a replacement which they denied saying it was out of the 30 day warranty window. As I said, it is located in our Guest House and we are very busy and I could not intrude on our guests during their stay. Since I wasn’t getting any assistance, I located another log set locally which I purchased and installed, and it operated the very first time I turned it on. I contacted Amazon asking for assistance in returning the log set since I am an Amazon prime member, which in the benefits description describes a 90 day window for returns and assistance. Amazon said they would get back to me which was almost a month ago with no contact.

Lots of heat @ 35,000 BTUs This insert went into a rental house in Mexico that has no central heat. It's heating a cottage of 700 sq feet w 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. We added a heat activated fan, ( non electric ) to the decorative fireplace pipe and it really kicks out the heat ( fan also bought on Amazon) The logs are very realistic and the auto light feature is great. Thermostat works well. We have it hooked up to LP gas ( propane) I thoroughly recommend this ventless, gas fireplace insert

Nos encantó el producto bastante bueno. Aunque nos llegaron unos troncos ritos. No la regresamos pro que pudimos reemplazarlos. Lo volvería a comprar

Apenas hoy abri la caja y el log 5-1 viene roto, lo instale y no prende, no enciende ni el piloto, necesito regresarlo .
