Elution Rebalancing Shampoo, 6.7 Fl Oz

I’ve been dealing with an itchy scalp for the past few years. It comes and goes, and is most likely the result of eczema, but at times it has been unbearable. I went to Europe with my fiancé for the first time, and we spent an inordinate amount of time looking for something to give me some relief. The entire Ducray line has been a godsend. I use the Elution as my everyday or following one of the other treatments. The smell is not offensive, pretty good, better than some of the more intensive products in the line which are meant to do the heavy lifting. The packaging looks a little bit clinical, like it is clearly a medicated treatment, but then again... that’s what it is. My shampoo doesn’t need to win a beauty contest, especially if it works, which this does.

I consider Ducray as the best brand for scalp care, whether you have dermatitis or greasy hair. Their products are what always works on me (I have seborrheic dermatitis). Just to be clear, I'm not a professional, I really advise you to visit one, but in my case, after visiting so many, without a permanent solution to my problem, I found out that this shampoo (trice or twice a week) and the Kelual DS (occasionally when my scalp was very irritated) helped me a lot.

It works. It can be used as often as I want. It smells great. My hair looks great after using it. It was a big problem when it was not available for two years.

Personally, I can't really tell a difference from regular drugstore shampoos, but my husband (the person I bought it for) has really bad dandruff and itchy scalp, and he says it does help with that.

I tried this as an alternative to the pyrithione zinc shampoo I've been using for years. The zinc shampoo worked, but was drying to my hair and scalp. This rebalancing shampoo was recommended by my esthetician who said a few of her other clients loved it. I wanted to love it too, but a few hours after using the shampoo, my scalp was back to that itchy/burning sensation I know all too well. I really wish it worked for me. Smells nice, though.

This product was recommended by my dermatologist to treat Seborrheic dermatitis, I gave it 3 stars because it was an initial introduction to a treatment, it didn’t completely work, I ended up using an over the counter product that works much better.

I will buy it again if I need it . It helped me and accelerated to calming of dandruff in record time. I recommend it.
