Solid and Secure( they say )
Solidly built. And that say very secure. Only criticism I have is numbers and letters in keys should be all in white as difficult to see in half light. Of course if the encryption system fails or the disk fails then you lost all your data so you will need an equally secure backup.

RIP little buddy, the keypad gave up the ghost and buttons wouldn't work after just a few presses. Gone before we knew ya.

Use with USB Extension
Very short stiff cable. I can see the cable fraying inside, not creating a proper connection over time. Best to use a USB extension cable with it.

Met expectations
Wanted to wait a couple of weeks before reviewing to make sure product performed up to expectations and it does. The only problem I had was initializing the password which turned out to be my fault. I had purchased a iStorage 1TG level 2 before through Amazon: it worked so well I decided to buy this one. The password initializing is different. There are more steps with the level3 iStorage. To make a long story short make sure to follow the quick start guide for setting up a password step by step because the level 2 and level 3 have different steps. I found this out the hard way and had to ask for a refund because I could not get into the level 3 iStorage. Within a week Amazon sent me another level 3iStorage and I was able to input the password correctly. Note this review will self destruct in 30 seconds so make sure to copy and paste to iStorage.
