A Lifesaver for Our Baby's Tummy Troubles
As a parent, finding the right formula for my baby was a top priority, especially when she started showing signs of fussiness and gas. After trying a few different brands, we decided to give Similac Sensitive a shot, and it has been a game-changer. From the first few bottles, we noticed a significant improvement. Our baby was less gassy, and her fussiness reduced dramatically. The transition was smooth, and she took to the formula without any issues. The fact that this formula is specifically designed for lactose sensitivity gave us peace of mind, knowing it’s tailored to her needs. The 29.8-oz can is also convenient and lasts a good amount of time, making it a great value. The formula mixes easily with water, and we've never had any clumping issues. The fact that it’s from Similac, a brand we trust, adds to our confidence. Overall, I highly recommend Similac Sensitive for any parents dealing with similar issues. It’s been a lifesaver for us, and our baby is now much happier and more comfortable. We’ll definitely continue using it!

Great for gassiness
I had been breastfeeding, but ended up needed to supplement with formula because my daughter wasn't getting enough to eat. Similac was the brand the hospital used and recommended, so I tried that first. The blue version didn't work well for my daughter - she started getting gassy and fussy - so we decided to try this kind. It was not perfect, but there was definitely a difference in her gassiness. We tried a few other brands, including a pharmacy off-brand, but nothing worked as well and the off-brand didn't mix all the way in. I ended up purchasing from Amazon instead of my local market not only because I could take advantage of the subscribe and save, but also because the ones at the store seemed to always be smashed. One tip though, the scoop tends to sink down in the powder, so save the one from the last can you had so you don't have do dig each time ;) Pros: - Worked to mitigate her gassiness and fussiness - Mixed well. Some of the others ended up being cloudy or clumpy. - Simple to mix. - Easier for me to travel with than the pre-mixed. I could just pre-put the powder in the bottles (or ziplock bags) and either bring a bottle of water, or purchase water at my destination. No need to refrigerate! - Cheaper than the pre-mixed. Cons: - Smells terrible. But, I haven't found one that doesn't. - The high iron content could constipate my daughter. After talking to my pediatrician, he recommended mixing in a teaspoon of karo syrup in the formula. I also tried prune juice, and for some bottles I would water it down a bit to help. I didn't use any of that though until she was old enough to eat and I would definitely recommend talking to your pediatrician first just in case. Most formulas do have a high amount of iron so it may be hard to find one without this problem.
