Works like I hoped with TC Electronic Flashback 2 Delay pedal
I had to look online for instructions on how to set the internal dip switches, but once I did that, connected the pedal with a TRS cable and used the free Tone Print software to set up the pedal for external tap tempo use, it's perfect. It's twice the price of a similar Mosky tap tempo I bought, but that one didn't work and had no internal dip switches to set. Perhaps I could have saved some money if I rewired the Mosky, but I didn't want to take a chance, waste time, and ruin my option to return it.

Very small
Bought this as a tap tempo switch for my delay pedal. It’s really small and mounts easily on a pedal board. Rock solid casing.

Does not pair with Boss DD7. It should with MXR brand delay
This tap tempo does not pair with Boss DD7 other than that it should pair with MXR delay pedal. Very small size so its does save lots of space on pedalboard. If you have MXR brand, this pedal is the best.
