You get what you paying for. It works, but not so sturdy, but I use it only sometimes for my laptop, so therefore it's fine. For regularly use, not.

doesn't play dvds
it was fine for copying data off discs that just had photos, on but I also wanted to use this to watch DVDs on my laptop. Every time I put a DVD disc in and clicked to open it, it just said 'insert disc' and ejected the tray again. not happy with the product as i cannot seem to get it to work for the main use i wanted it for.

Brilliant for new PCs and windows 11 compatible
I bought this as my new PC did not have an internal optical drive, and needed a way to install programmes from disk. After looking at a few reviews and wondering if it would work with windows 11, I took the plunge. This works fine and is great for the cost. No driver installation, just plug it in and good to go.
