Best utility blade scraper on the market hands down, serious commercial quality. The strongest and sharpest scraper I've ever used!

I am a flooring contractor and no other hand scraper compares to the durability if the tajima.

This is a well made tool. Well thought out design. I love the hammer end handle. The blade selection should have a set for hammering current offering a bit to brittle. You might find or even grind your own if you need.

This is a fine scraper but you might had difficulty figuring out what kind of replacement blades to buy.

Tajima may be sounded as essence of Japan made, but it's actually made in China tool. It does not include even one blade, so you can't work with it out of box. The blade in the picture is just a cardboard presentation, not a real one. In aditional, the blade it should be used wirh seems to be the same one you can find on a utility hand knife which has an special non straight shape. A normal common replacement blade that simillar tools uses- won't fit here. In aditional, it won't hold the blade firmly enough, so if it has stuck in the surface of your work, pulling the handle will leave the blade behind. Not impressed. I've expected much more for this price. I've bought it especially for the blade protection it comes with, but it has not a common design or a superb quality. It does have some sturdy feeling though.
