PRINCE2 Study Guide: 2017 Update

An excellent resource for self study.I cancelled my subscription to an online video course based on the effectiveness of this book. Highly recommended.

Covers the subject extensively.

I've only read the opening chapter so far and having spent A LOT of time with the PRINCE2 manual... I can safely say that this could be an easy replacement for the actual text book. It takes the dryness from the main text book and makes it really digestible. I found that with the projects in controlled environments text book never gave any real life applications to the whole ethos of the method, whereas this does. It makes it more exciting to learn. It includes practice exams for both exams and online flashcards for last minute revision. I've yet to sit my practitioner exam and felt worried about sitting it until this arrived on my doorstep. Two words... Buy this.

Some parts I feel could have benefited from being less wordy and repetitive, but maybe that’s just my personal preference (some may see it as reinforcing concepts). Some useful insights from ‘real world’ examples helps complete beginners like myself to engage with the concepts.

If you are thinking of doing project management or want to get a better understanding, then this is the book you need. A great step by step guide to prince2 helping you to prepare for either the foundation exam or the practitioner exam.

A good book which I used for studying prince 2 foundation exam. Passed with 77% (46/60) . I self studied for 2 weeks and read the chapters one by one.I found the exam questions useful although for the 2017 exam they have removed negative and list questions or at least limited them. The book is heavy on these types of questions. This will however train you to be more knowledgeable when it comes to the exam.I had to use passed papers on YouTube as well as the book to help me.Can be complicated to start with especially chapter 1 and 2 but as you read the themes it starts to fall on place.

I bought this alongside the official Prince2 Axelos manual. This is the 3rd time I have renewed my practitioner but still seem to need to start from scratch each time and the mock exam Q&A’s for both foundation and practitioner after each section were invaluable exam prep. Highly recommend.
