Must have book for parents of gender questioning children.
Well written. Asks insightful questions to help teens navigate peer pressure as they come into their own during puberty and beyond. This book is essential for all parents wanting to protect thier child. It does not condemn but provides guided questions to reflect on the short and long term risks. It keeps parents in parental roles and foster relationship with gender confused children and teens. It give practical suggestions rooted in psychological development and not pushing any religious rationale. It does take a gender critical approach which is not conversion therapy based. We owe our children the right to have these in depth conversations about what this means to them and not scripted trans ideology that they don’t fully grasp.Thank you for supporting parents whoWant to have those discussions.

Helpful Book That’s Worth A Read
Desist, Detrans, & Detox: Getting Your Child Out of the Gender Cult by Maria Keffler is definitely worth reading, particularly for parents with minor children. The book is organized into seven chapters. The first chapter explains the ways transgender ideology is cult-like in many ways. She talks about relationship skills, listening to your child, and setting boundaries. The author helps the reader understand gender ideology, how a minor child may be influenced, and how to address the misinformation the child is given during the grooming process. The last chapter is about healing the family, as other relationships in the family will need attention as well. This book is like any self-help book in that it gives suggestions on how to help one navigate a situation. It is not hateful or unprofessional in any way. It offers a perspective, and gives parents some needed tools to navigate a situation that could do real damage to the relationships in a family.Worth a read.

Tipper Gore Principle: I buy any book or music that someone doesn't want me to read or hear.
I found nothing in the book that would warrant anyone to not want you to see it. Read it and make up your own mind. I believe that a family going through this experience would, at the very least, find the book helpful in some way to help with understanding alternative options and, at its best, the book may profoundly change their lives for the better.Pro Tip: If someone really believes that something is bad, then it will fail on its own merit if it really is bad. But when people don't want you to read something and forcefully try to keep it from you or ban it, then by all means you should buy it and read it or see it for yourself if only to make your own mind up about the quality of its content.

A must read for anyone who has a transgender family member.
I have a college age granddaughter who says she is transgender. This is a an interesting read as I try to understand what she is going through. I love the analysis and stories in this book. If you are reading this book, you probably have the same issues in your family.

Wonderful Resource
What a wonderful and much-needed resource for families who are blindsided by the ideology that promotes such confusion and harm in the lives of vulnerable individuals. This is a handbook to help loved ones respond in compassionate ways to those who are caught up in these ideas. Will be recommending it to others!

important info and parenting tips
Regardless of where you stand on transgender issues, this is a good book. It emphasizes trying to understand and listening to your child. Kids who believe they are trans, whether they're right or wrong, are going through an extremely difficult time and their parents need to do more than simply agree and support or disagree and forbid, and this book helps.

A Handbook For Our Times!
This book is exactly what parents need to understand, protect and safeguard their young, impressional and vulnerable teen/emerging adult. This decade's onslaught of online predators and charlatans selling a glitter nirvana is a false and dangerous narrative. And for the masses of young women dropping their trans-identity in droves, this book proves to be an invaluable resource of rediscovery, self-acceptance and love of their natal and biological self.--- L. Must read for parents of teens.
Well researched, compassionate and truthful. What an incredibly hard topic to write about. All patents should read this book to get a balanced look at what their kids and/ or their peers are going through.

Definitely worth the read
A very useful book if you’ve just been blindsided by your child suddenly announcing they are trans. There are Christian undertones to it but it doesn’t detract from the clear explanation as to how this cult has managed to embedded itself in your family and the clear advice as to what you can do about it. Much of the cult information is also covered in Steven Hassans excellent “Combatting Cult Mind Control” which I would also recommend. There are some golden nuggets in Desist Detrans & Detox though such as the new phenomenon of “Boomeranging”. There are also other observations on the gender cult characteristics that are being observed for the first time due to the research collated from many desistors and their families. Definitely worth the read in conjunction with other cult books.
