Works well

Looks great and easy to use be careful not to make the hole too big or it won't hold. Mine did not come with instructions but it's pretty simple to use the smaller flat part acts like a washer you place it on after inserting the grommet then place the knob on the tool onto the hole and clamp down so the split ends wrap around the washer.

The puncher seems ok - haven't tried it yet because there were no instructions provided. I will have to google how to use it.

Perfect for what I needed

The media could not be loaded. I needed this to add grommets to hold down our freeze blankets in windy Texas.The pro comment – it is inexpensive and it works.The unhappy comments:-I thought making “starter” holes would be easy – just use a hole punch that you use for paper but, no luck, it wouldn’t cut the fabric.-Instead, I had to start the hole with an ice pick, then enlarge it with a 3/16’ nut driver. That worked but it created a ragged hole. Maybe a Phillips screwdriver with a 3/16’ shaft would be neater.-if you have stubby, undainty fingers like mine, these grommets are slippery little dudes that are a challenge to hold n place. A magnetic tip on the tool would really be helpful.But, in the end, mission accomplished – just a little more effort than I expected.

The first grommet I tried to install on a test piece of thin leather failed because when I squeezed the tool handle it literally bent in my hand before it put enough pressure on the parts to set the grommet. Buy something nicer, this won't work for you. It certainly didn't for me.

The tool works great, but no instructions came with the tool, take me 3 times try different ways of use it until I got it.

Grip gives you a good grip, works well.
