Earl of Sunderland: Wicked Earls' Club (Once Upon A Widow) Paperback – 4 July 2018

A short sweet story, well written and very entertaining.Eliza and Carson are wed in an arranged marriage because her father is a spiteful, conniving bully and sold her to the highest bidder! The marriage turned out better than anyone anticipated but unfortunately was short lived, we then meet Eliza's cousin Grace who from the age of fifteen had supported and cared for her bereaved father and infant brother, who is five at the time of the story and what an absolute delight he is, I could have adopted him, he was so special. Due to Carson's death we also meet again, Christopher (Kit) his twin brother, whom we had already met at his brother's wedding. Kit had been in the army for years and gave up his commission, with a view to taking up the role of the p Earl of Sunderland, which had to be left in abeyance as Eliza is pregnant. The story revolves around Grace and Kit getting to know one another and developing stronger feelings, which are frightening to say the least for Grace as she has deep emotional problems. All in all it was a lovely, and gently paced story, some amusing moments due to Samuel (Sammy) antics. I would thoroughly recommend it.

A book that you’ll find yourself smiling just about all the way through,

I found this a really good book. Grace is a strong character. She takes care of her family after her mother dies in childbirth. Kit is a great character. He is the second twin and a soldier until his brother dies will he is preparing for the great battle of Waterloo. He returns home to take us his position as the Earl of Sunderland and falls for grace.

A slow moving Regency story, with no real connection to the Wicked Earls Club. The Earl dies & his twin leaves the army to take over. - Will it work out, what will become of the Earls widow, will the new Earl find a wife.

A tragedy or two, heroine both strong and fragile, hero conflicted about his feelings, secondary characters fleshed out, humor and wit peppered throughout the dialogue as well as a happy ending. Best Regency Romance I’ve read in a long time and highly recommend!My Rating: 5+ stars

Part of an anthology of twelve books (this is no.3). They are all good, so far, but I found this one to be my favourite so far.

The main characters have traumatic pasts to overcome. Seems they are able to bring each other to the light. But the reason is because... Love! Easy to like characters plus how love makes the world a better place excellent type of story.

Very well written. Loved how the characters evolved. The story line was very believable and I felt transported.A good read

You will enjoy this story with all its sadness interrupted by a over zealous, procosious little boy with all his pranks and energy. As love heals griving adults.
