Fits my 1994 Honda Accord DX Sedan
Fits my 1994 Honda Accord DX Sedan but did not fix my issue. Think I may need a new speedometer head. Easy installation and great price. took me about 20 mins. Had to remove air intake hose to reach down to the top of the transmission.

AMAZING!
I have a 97 del Sol. The speedo just quit working the other day. A quick google and youtube search told me what I needed. The holy trinity of auto parts stores wanted about 5x as much as this. Works BEAUTIFULLY!! I used the pin that came with the part, even though it was longer than the stock one....no problems...speedo works now...and it only cost me 12 bucks and 10 mins!

Worked great, but.....
Bolted right into place on my 1997 Honda Accord EX and worked immediately......but, the odometer is sluggish, unlike how it was originally. Not sure if an OEM sensor would have made the difference, but for the price, I am not complaining. After (important) disconnecting the battery and draining all power by turning on the headlights with the battery disconnected, the Check Engine Light also turned itself off!!!! So a win so far. Definitely one of the best purchases of any kind I've ever made!!!***The Honda dealer tried to charge me $293 for just the part, and about $300 for labor at least. I installed this part in about one hour with all the learning / mistakes accounted for.

It works - '96 Accord LX 4 Cylinder Automatic
Worked in my '96 Accord LX 4 Cylinder Automatic. Speedometer was erratic. Check Engine Light came on. Code was P0501. Knew this would prevent smog check so had to be dealt with.Hardest part was finding the unit. It varies between model years (suggest searching Youtube for VSS or P0501 till you find your exact year). I am not a mechanic but was able to replace. Need to remove air intake hose. Then reach down below (shine flashlight from top even during day). For some reason removing the electrical plug was the most time consuming for me. Was stiff even with tab depressed (and ended up needing to use some right angle pliers to assist while depressing tab with thumb). Two 10mm bolts came out pretty easily with a bent adjustable angle ratchet and small extension. In terms of getting the back bolt back in, had to use some tape around the extension to keep the bolt in place as I re-threaded (only because I didn't have a magnetic extension). It's a little tight area on the hands. But part itself fit perfectly, and does include the pin. If you are curious as to whether your wiring harness is working, there are youtube videos (not sure if linking is allowed), on how to test that with a basic multimeter.

Doesn't fit a manual transmission, this part is for an automatic
This part did not say whether it was for an automatic or manual transmission so when ordered we had no idea and the mechanic that was going to put it on it's just now getting around to it and realized today that is for an automatic not a manual transmission so unfortunately it was a waste of money because I won't be able to use it, and I'll see that you're not going to let me return it or give me credit!

1996 Honda Accord Speedometer Repair
I must say, I was a little skeptical given the price, but it works great for my 1996 Honda Accord. If your check engine light is on and the speedometer is acting weird or not working at all, this is what you need to fix it. To reset your check engine light, pull the 7.5 amp fuse labeled “radio” in the fuse box under the hood, leave it out for 30 seconds, put it back in, and you’re good to go!
