This was an exceptionally steamy, BDSM story with heart. There is intrigue. Will the black ops succeed? And who wants JJ dead? Funny in places and scary in others. Still good if you like this genre.I volunteered to review an ARC of this book and it comes recommended for those who enjoy BDSM stories with explicit steamy scenes, thrilling intrigue and maybe a little “taming of the shrew.” I quite enjoyed it ;-) I give it 4.5 steamy stars!

Delta James spins a wonderful tale of strength, caring, and love with a bit of bite thrown in. It’s always an adventure when she lets you into her world. This Alpha is a bit much for me but our heroine was a wonderful match for him. In the end their love came together and everyone was in a better place because of them. I would and have recommended this author and her stories to many of my friends

I enjoyed the characters and the story lines of this book. I would definitely recommend that it to be read. Also all of the books in the series. This is my second time rereading this series and it is amazing.

Fast pace great story, keeps the reader on their toes and waiting to see what the final outcome will be

She owns and runs an upscale BDSM club in London as well as being an independent political activist. JJ feels she is invincible. Fitzwallace or Fritz owns and runs the Cerberus Group, a mercenary company. Like so many of his men, Fritz is a former SAS. In his case, he was a commander. Destiny brings these two strong and independent individuals together when JJ’s head of security, Adam, call Fritz for assistance after a failed attack on JJ. Upon meeting there is an instant attraction. Will Fritz and his men discover the identity and reason behind the attack? Will JJ acknowledge her vulnerability and accept help? Will either Fritz or JJ listen to the murmurings of their hearts? You must read this book to discover what unfolds?Like the other book in this series, readers need to be aware explicit descriptions of sexual scenes. When I started reading, I found myself with a few reservations particularly with the some of the sexual scenes. However, to Ms. James’ credit, her book blurb does refer to this as a rough romance. You may wonder why I continued reading this book? I was intrigued with her writing style and the suspense prong of her dual-prong plot. I wanted to see how Fritz would keep JJ safe. Ms. North’s skill with strong dialog allowed me to look passed the BDSM scenes and focus on each character. Ms. James did not disappoint me as she is a great storyteller.

Fitz is the ultimate dominant Alpha and once he sees JJ her fate is sealed! JJ is determined to live her own life on her own terms and so begins their story! A game of cat and mouse, Master and Submissive, man and woman, warrior and fighter, desires and denials!Incredible heat, BDSM, action, suspense, adventure, danger, lust and love!!A fantastic mix off everything I love in a good story!

One very sassy not very submissive woman leads a very dominant, sexy man on a very merry chase. It is great to read about a submissive that can make her man a steer a very tricky course. They both know they are made for each other but the submissive is not giving in all that easily, she leads her would be Dom around and around. Fitz thinks he has her tamed and she proves him wrong. Will he be man enough to stop her topping from the bottom on the way to probably being killed? Read and enjoy the chase!
