Carousel Dreams: A Coloring Book by YamPuff

The media could not be loaded.  “Carousel Dreams” is a Manga style coloring book with 24 cute designs. The designs are either of carousel animals or of the Rose Princess that YamPuff (the artist) has dreamed of having inhabit her world. In addition to the designs, the title page can be colored as well.The designs are especially cute and fun to color. The designs have a bit of detail but are not intricate and don't have tiny spaces which required unusually small nib pens. A few of the pages have a couple of intricate spots (such as on the carousel mandala or some of the smaller detailed designs on the Rose Princess dress.Each of the design pages has a short blurb on the back which explains the thoughts behind each particular design. It was interesting reading what the artist had in mind been creating the design.This is what I found while coloring in this book and testing the paper with my various coloring medium. It is thin, white, slightly rough and is non-perforatedGlue BindingThree designs merge into the the binding area but nothing essential to the design would be lost if you cut those pages out.Coloring book can be opened fairly flat for easy of coloringAlcohol-based markers bleed through the paper readily. Water-based markers bleed through in spots but can still damage the page below.Gel pens and India ink pens leave discernible shadows of color on the back of the page. India ink can bleed through in spots if you apply heavily or with multiple layers.Colored pencils work well with this paper. I tested both oil and wax based pencils and found that they both work well with providing good color pigment, can layer same or multiple colors well and blend easily using a blending stick. Hard lead pencils dent through the page.I use card stock as a blotter under y working page with all CreateSpace publications. It keeps ink and dents from damaging the pages below. A couple of sheets of heavyweight paper work as well, too.

I was actually nervous about this. There weren't many reviews or any photos up to see what's inside, which is usually how I order my coloring books. But I was like, Hey! It's got a super cute front and back and hopefully those would be in the book! So I ordered it. And when it came, my heart melted. I was so excited. I didn't even hesitate to start, I just started up coloring. I want to reorder one for my niece this Christmas since she loves to color too and since she's 6, I know shed love the designs in this book.Its not just horses, it's mandalas and cute girls in Lolita gear (I died). My favorite page is the lion carousel.If you love kawaii and cute designs, definitely order this book. It's worth it.

i love this artist! i like that the pages are printed one sided so there's no bleed through and the artist included a little note about each piece on the back. they were interesting to read and the art is rad. i like this as an adult coloring book because it doesnt have all the crazy small parts like other adult coloring books

This entire book has a deep crease, as if someone grabbed it roughly and crumpled it , from the front cover to the back. Terrible delivery. The book itself is adorable and I hate holding it against it.

I keep coming back to this book time and time again. There are a lot of cute and inspiring designs that spark a lot of fun color palette ideas and really allow me to use my imagination. I do use a think cardboard under each page so I do not have to worry about bleeding with markers and ruining another image. (Thank you for only one image per page and not double sided!) Absolutely worth every penny and her inspiration for each picture on the back I found really cute and helped me envision colors better too.

Suuuuper cute characters! Love it. Definitely gotta use a piece of paper behind the one you're coloring if you're using markers though. Soaks through a bit but the paper holds up great!

I just ordered this a few days ago and do not have it yet, but just by looking at the inside pages that both Amazon and helpful Amazon customers provided, I'm CERTAIN I made the right decision by ordering this adorably themed coloring book!!! I cannot wait to finally get my copy and am happily anticipating it's (hopefully soon) arrival!!!Also YamPuff, If you by chance ever read this, know that you are an ART GODESS <3:)

Totally adorable and lots of fun to color in.

Os desenhos são simplesmente lindos, delicados e fofos como eu gosto. Não tem desenho que eu não quero colorir de capa a capa e isso é raro.O único senão fica por conta do papel que é muito fino e impede o uso de certo materiais na pintura, Esse problema é minimizado por só ter um desenho por folha, mesmo assim certas tintas comprometerão a integridade da papel, por isso não dei as cinco estrelas.

o livro é muito fino, paginas muito finas. não compensa pelo preço.

Good quality paper. Super cute pictures. Note that pages are not double sided so if you want to use markers you don't have to worry about ruining the picture on the back. Very happy with this!

This is such a cute book but the paper is very low quality.
