Concept is Strong. Execution Needs Improvement.
My 3-star rating is due to the communication from the seller. My item arrived promptly but was damaged right out of the box. The set screw for the handle is stainless, while the handle is aluminum. The set screw was stripped at the handle and on the first three threads of the screw. It was cross-threaded during assembly. I remedied this by drilling through the prop shaft and the handle. I used a Clevis Pin with a Cotter Pin through the handle to easily remove the handle when it's being stored. Remember this tip if you find yourself in a similar situation. It was a strong concept, and as a fabricator, I solved the issue, so I kept the item, and the seller said they would credit me for part of the sale.

Five Stars
Works great for kinetic sculpture racing. My advice from experience: Don't forget to raise it out of the water before your beach landing. Don't crank too hard or you will strip the tiny planetary gears. If you're gentle it does work with 2/3 of the planets.

Good product
Works well just hard to crank and steer simultaneously takes some getting used to. Fun for ponds and smaller bodies of water would make a great back up for a trolling motor that went bad

Not worth it!
I got it a couple ones back for my brother and I. We went camping and set it up we went about ten feet and it broke. Ruin the whole fishing trip

Hard to control
Great for forward and backwards propulsion but not very easy to stear
