Enjoyable to a Point
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERSThis the 6th Jessie Hunt book I’ve read. The writing is good although there were quite a few typos in this one. I was afraid that the drama with Bolton, the serial killer fixated on Jessie and Jessie’s half sister would drag on for too long. I’m hoping this book is the last one with Bolton. He was only interesting when he was locked up.But at least I got the feeling this book was written by someone who knows something about the U.S. criminal justice system. I have a theory (and I’m not the only one) that Blake Pierce is a pseudonym for several authors, each writing a different series. The books come out too frequently to be written by the same person. Even Joyce Carol Oates isn’t that prolific. The character of Jessie Hunt is likeable, but I don’t think she’s a very good profiler. She’s been duped with the same trick (drug put in a drink) twice so far in the 6 books I’ve read. I know the main character has to have obstacles placed in her way to make the store interesting, but the same ones more than once? If she’s supposed to be so good at what she does, how is that possible?Similarly, I have to say that Detective Ryan Hernandez, though he’s also a likeable character and I hope they get together at some point, but he’s a terrible detective. How he has risen to the prominent level he has to the point where he is asked to lecture to criminal justice students is beyond me. He’s been conked over the head when trying to question a suspect, stabbed, and then conked over the head again. He is hardly ever much help to Jessie and they aren’t a couple…yet, so I’m not sure why he is featured so prominently in the books, and then sometimes disappears for an entire book. The author seems to want to do a “will-they-or-won’t-they” Ross and Rachel thing that is getting on my nerves. This will probably be the last book I’ll read in the series if Bolton isn’t dead, but it appears that he is.All of the books, this one included, had scenes where you get that creepy crawly feeling where you’re on the edge of your seat. That’s why I never read them at night before bed. These are strictly lunchtime or breakfast time reading for sure!

Wow will it ever end for Jessie and Ryan
Good read from beginning to end. This story gave me a break from my other authors who write great love stories, from second chance romances to billionaires and how they find their great love and onto delving into the lives of Security Agents that are rich and how they find love. But reading about psychological suspense stories is very exciting, and Jessie Hunt is good. Blake is good at writing mysteries and I am a fan. This the third story of Jessie hunt was good from beginning to end. I have gotten use to Jessie and Ryan getting hurt in the commission of trying to solve the murders. This one Jessie had to profile a lady killer who was drugging her victims and then choking them, the thing about it she had the look, piercing blue eyes beautiful figure but she always showed up in a different disguise. Then their was Crutchfield who was holding Hannah and a secret he promised to tell her. Crutchfield killed a pedophile, supposedly as part of the training of Hannah, thinking he could indoctrinate her to become his protege. I loved this story because it was entertaining, fast reading and had powerful cast of characters. Can't wait to read the rest of the stories.

Another Great Read!
I've really been enjoying this series books, and this book is definitely better than the last one in my opinion. Great storyline, and it's nice to see the growth in Jessie. Not to give anything away, but I'll just say the finality of things was good in a way. Of course, as a young girl once said "It's never over". Looking forward to reading the next book.

Great book 6
This was another great book in the Jessie Hunt series. Thankfully she didn't get hurt in this book, but her partner did. Another serial killer "bites the dust" thankfully. SPOILER ALERT.

Sublime thriller
Beautifully written with good characters and dialogue but it's the story yet again that delivers a tangled web of suspense.A serial killer with a mission to rid the world of cruel men. I couldn't help but find some empathy for this killer, however misplaced her motive her past defined her on her path for vengeance. It's clever and perfectly delivered.Next book please
