BOSS Audio Systems BCPA10 10.1 Inch CarPlay Android Bluetooth Car Stereo

To be perfectly honest I was a hard no on Boss forever but I recently saw a trusted source do a video on a different head unit so I figured I would give them a try. I never thought about buying a product from Boss before because they frankly flat out Lie on their amplifier power ratings add to that the name recognition of very cheap Walmart crap and you can see why. Pushing aside my prejudices against them I pulled the trigger and bought this head unit. Right off the bat I’ll tell you I’m super impressed with the quality of the wiring harness. Not only is the wire a decent size and quality each individual wire is clearly labeled on the wire and it’s plenty long enough. The potentiometer on the volume knob seems to turn as you would expect and everything looks great. Granted I have not installed it so I can’t say how it’s gonna sound however I never use the supplied power for anything anyway I will only be using the RCA plugs to my amps. IMO To have a good stereo ya need a dedicated amplifier or 3. I also really like the adjustability of the screen. It’s gonna look killer. If it sounds bad I’ll edit.

I bought this to replace my Pioneer 7 inch unit in my work vehicle. I do a lot of driving up and down the east coast and wanted a bigger screen. I looked at the Alpine Halo units, but, it's hard to justify spending 5 times as much for one of those as opposed to this unit. Took me about an hour to install in a 2016 Ford Transit 150. Already head the dash kit and wiring adapter from the previous head unit, just had to splice the wires together, install the microphone and fit in the dash. After turning the display on, wow! very impressed. The size increase is great, the resolution is very good, sure, not full HD but for what its for it is more than enough. Sound is very good, I adjusted the EQ to fit to my tastes and I am very impressed. Uploaded my own background (not pictured), set the FM presets, changed the RGB lighting to blue to match the rest of the lights in the vehicle and set up is finished. I use Android auto from my personal phone, but also have Apple Carplay on my work phone. Both look great on this screen. I am looking forward to seeing how this holds up and using it on the road. With an Amazon discount of 20% I paid around $275 for this and honestly, I don't think you could find anything better anywhere near this price. Sure, it's not an Alpine Halo, but it's also not $1000 - $1500 and I can live with that :-)

I’ve installed and used this unit for nearly two years, and unfortunately, it hasn’t lived up to expectations. While the screen is beautiful and visually impressive, the overall features and functionality are frustrating. The interface is not intuitive—I often find myself pressing numerous buttons just to navigate between basic features. Music streaming has been unreliable, and the system frequently loses all of my presets every few weeks, which is especially frustrating. Based on my experience, I would not purchase this product again. In the future, I would choose a more established, name-brand option for better reliability and usability.

I have bought the of these. The Boss unit works great. Got one that is getting pretty old and it works like new. This one is in my 2003 Ford Crown Vic. It blows people away to see it in the old hoopty. I have called Boss customer service on another item and they answer and they help.

First of all, I just installed this a day or so back, so this is my brand-new opinion which is why I've given an average middle rating to begin, I will update according to my experience over time. I bought this to replace the stock radio in my 2013 Civic, mainly for a navigation upgrade since I was tired of using my phone on maps. The side perk was that my audio significantly improved overall as well. I used to have a Bluetooth delay of around 2 seconds per interaction, this unit completely removed that so that's nice. The touch screen is functional, a bit jarring going from a 120hz phone display to about 30hz, might be 60hz but I doubt it. It is perfectly acceptable for when you aren't using it to browse or scroll a lot. I'm not bashing, merely observing. I don't expect 120hz at this price point. The brightness is bright enough for daytime use, but when night come it does not dim well, you will find it hard to ignore when it burns your eyes at night. This is not hyperbole; the screen does not dim so you will have to figure out a solution for extended nighttime use. Imagine putting your phone to about 80% brightness at night when you are trying to adjust to the dark, that is all. This is a solid unit for the $300 mark, you won't be blown away. You will probably only be getting this because your vehicle is already lacking such basic technologies as maps and Bluetooth/CarPlay.

Pros The sound quality is great I have 2 amps running to it along with grill speakers and tweeters and a set of 12s! Andriod auto and apple play (wired).both work! It has a built in EQ! FOR your subs and inside speakers. Very big screen. Detachable face. Easy installation! Bluetooth Cons. No wireless.apple carplay or.andriod auto. No remote.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Has reatarted in the middle if a few trups. Always goes back to qorking but a tad annoying. Has 5 yr warranty but trying to diagnose with the guys is a hassle . So il wait and hopefully it doeant just die. Also if you use a converter to watch movies its a pain. Screen quality is good bright and touch works well otherwise. Have in my canper can conversion!

Fits great, installation was easy. Installed and operational in 3 hours, which included wiring up adapter harness (sold separately) installed in 93 f150. Covers HVAC controls slightly when at lowest position, but can be slid up for clear access. Best upgrade to my interior.

tengo mas de 2 meses usando el producto y he leído todos los comentarios, sobre los defectos mas comunes los cuales se pueden solucionar de forma sencilla 1 demasiado brillante de noche. si se conecta de la forma correcta se elimina este problema, tiene un cable para conectarlo (o puentierlo) a las luces del carro así que cuando prendes las luces el radio cambia a Modo de noche y baja la intensidad de luz junto con las luces de tablero. 2 si los cables de las rca, son de buena calidad el sonido es muy bueno. en general el radio me parece excelente por el precio.

Initially i was so excited about this but after installing it’s laggy. I ended returning it.

Bought a knock off version, which was dead on arrival, so I did my research and discovered the BOSS BCPA10. UNREAL AWESOME! Put it in my 2010 Chevy Malibu and now my old clunker is a new car again lol everything touch screen, easy to use (and install). You will need a wiring harness and single din car kit (and antenna), I got those items from Crutchfield, but this has made my long commute enjoyable again, thanks BOSS!!
