Excellent story and narration!!!! Don't miss this one!!
Tributary, an Audiobook by Lainey Davis was an book two in the Oak Creek series! This is the story of Diana and Asa. He’s a venture capitalist worth billions and she’s a botanist trying to get her business off the ground…after her ex-boyfriend stole her ideas. As a result she has some major trust issues. I loved the easy style Asa has…he treats her right…and with kid gloves knowing there’s some kind of pain beneath her tough veneer. She’s tough, strong, and wants nothing from anyone. She wants to do everything on her own. He wants to help her.Gad!!! This series is absolutely mind-boggling!!! I’m completely immersed in the story and desperately want them to get beyond the baggage that they both carry. The narrator, Lee Daniels did a fabulous narration of this intensely rich story!!! One mispronunciation…patent…but, I can overlook that since everything else was spot on!!!I voluntarily received an Advance Copy of this Audiobook for an honest review.

Wonderful Story & Audible Listen🎧 Enjoyable & Entertaining!
Tributary (A Billionaire Romance)Oak Creek, Book 2By: Lainey DavisNarrated by: Lee DanielsLainey Davis writes another wonderful novel in her “Oak Creek” series and I loved it as much as the first. It is Diana Crawford’s story, Diana, a botanist with a brilliant mind, she is independent to a fault, refusing to ask anyone for help and because she was burnt in the past she does not trust easy. She owns her own business, Houseplant Haven, but it is what she has set up in the back of the store that keeps her going and what she really wants to do, making new and beneficial creations with plant life. Asa Wexler is a venture capitalist, he is backing Hunter’s studies and is in town checking on progress. He is staying at the Crawford house and is stuck in Oak Creek because of a snow storm. He takes a walk into town and is taken with what he sees and then the unexpected happens. He was intrigued with Diana the 1st moment he laid eyes on her, he was used to woman throwing themselves at him because they wanted his money, but not Diana, the only thing she threw at him was snow, LOL! I loved these two together and for each other. The chemistry between them is smoking hot and while she pushes him away he sticks it out. This story is fast paced and there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, some angst, great humor and laughs, heartfelt moments and some hot romance. It was great to see some of the characters from the first book again, got to love the Crawfords and their friends. Lainey Davis, thank you for this wonderful story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. It was great to be back on Oak Creek again!!I listened to the Audible edition, Lee Daniels did a great job narrating and bringing the characters and their story to life. You could hear how much heart she put into her work as she captures and projects the characters emotions in to her performance. Thank you for this great listen🎧

Got bored at 50% and went to the end
By half way through I have to say that I had grown bored. The book was moving along too slowly. The story itself was fine, this couple are just not on the same page yet and communication on page about anything important relationshipwise or personal has not happened. Now there is a serious flaw. The hero knows about the heroine from reports he has had his assistant put together. The heroine googled the hero. And they've had sex. So not exactly a love match yet. And I'm still bored. So I skipped to the last few chapters. It finishes up great. Of course I don't see where it relationship-addresses that the hero is Jewish, possibly practicing, and I don't think that is the heroine`s religion, but like THAT is important???! There is quite a few surprising twists at the end, so bravo to the author. And just because I got bored does not mean other readers will. So buy and enjoy! Shhhh, there's good sex scenes in what I did read.

small town sexy romance
Diana is a botanist, doing experiments using plants for medical research. Diana has trust issues, especially where men are concerned. Asa is a billionaire venture capitalist, who buys businesses and opportunity. He's confident in his work and women. But he met his match with Diana. No relationships. Diana has a lack of confidence and low self esteem. She slowly comes out of her shell, learns to trust and love again. Asa learns, not everything important in life is about money.Lee Daniels narration was good. I enjoyed listening to the story. I was gifted this book and offered my honest review.

Great stand alone but don't miss the series
Diana is a botanist who's been burned before by a man interested in her work. Asa is interested in investing in her project.. and in her. But her past makes her leery of getting involved with someone who might take advantage. She's very independent now but that doesn't deter Asa from giving it the old college try. Their story is a good stand alone but this series is a must read as the side characters will draw you in a powerful way. There are times when you'll wonder if they'll ever make it but there's a great happily ever after.

One of the best
“Tributary” by Lainey Davis is one of those great romantic comedy books that keep you laughing THE. WHOLE. TIME!!! I absolutely love Asa and Diana. They have sexual chemistry, tension, and biting rhetoric!! This was a quick little read - a good one to “cleanse the palate” as it might be considered. I thoroughly enjoyed the change of pace it brought. And, I will happily and honestly recommend it to all readers of this genre!!
