Comfortably, durable, maybe just a little frumpy
Bottom line these are comfortable, durable, if slightly homely shoes that have dominated my work rotation since I bought them. I'm not sure a younger me could have lived with the aesthetic, but I have a lot less to prove in middle age and these excel at just about everything else, even relative to much more expensive barefoot work shoes. It might have something to do with me entering middle age and prioritizing my creature comforts, but they have overtaken my significantly more expensive leather moccasins and oxfords.Aesthetics are easily their biggest weakness, the boxy rectangle shape, sneaker profile and fabric makes them look shapeless. The canvas fabric can't compete with leather and clearly prioritizes durability and hiding dirt. That said, I've owned a lot of barefoot work shoes and they all make significant aesthetics concessions to facilitate a wide toe box, so relatively speaking you're not giving up as much as you would think. The best thing by far about the Hanas is their comfort and convenience. Properly laced, they are basically slip ons and can be put on single handed with practice. That said, the ankle fitment and elastic fabric makes these much better for light athletic activity then any laceless work shoes I have tried, and I plan to replace these until they stop making them. The other thing I like about the Hana is that their fabric and leatherized toe cap does a great job at hiding dirt, scuffs and creases, to the point these are the work shoes I'm most comfortable using for light physical activity. The sole is also very durable and will likely outlast (pun intended) the upper, I suspect stitching is what will ultimately kill the shoe. Unlike many makers, Xero tends to use hard sole compound and rely on texture for grip, which I prefer. My shoes probably do 5-15 miles of walking and running weekly, and show no significant wear after several months of use.

My new favorite shoes!
I’ve always preferred going barefoot to wearing shoes, but bare feet are vulnerable to rocks, broken glass, and other hazards that make walking barefoot outdoors a matter of stepping gingerly and mindfully for fear of injury. My spouse has been wearing Xero sandals and shoes for a couple of years now, and she’s smarter than me, so I decided to follow her and try them. They’re my dream shoes. They provide enough sole protection that I no longer fear ordinary hazards, but enough ground-feel that I feel in total control of my step. I plant my foot square on the ground now, not dragging a heel on the way to setting my foot down. On any sort of uneven surface, the ground-feel makes things completely different from the hiking shoes and comfort shoes I’ve been wearing for years. The first big outing with these was helping some friends move. Normally, carrying large boxes that I can’t see around up and down unfamiliar staircases is a scary experience. But with the Xeros, I could just drop my toes over the edge, feeling my way down and keeping perfect balance. Wonderful. I’ve also noticed that, even though these have a far less heavy tread than my usual hiking shoes or Skechers, I feel even more traction than before! My spouse suggested wearing toe socks with them, and gave me a few pairs to try. It was a little odd at first, but quickly made sense once I got on an uneven surface again. I also started pulling the insole pads out, giving even more ground-feel. I feel so much more confident in my step with this combination! And after just a week, putting the Skechers on again feels clunky and awkward, like I have no control over my feet. They’re not comfortable, they’re just mushy. The Xeros feel comfortable - not by padding my feet so they can no longer feel anything, but by helping them feel the ground without fear.

nice looking
these shoes are nice looking, a lil expensive though. and i found i need a lil bit of cushioning in the heal. after adding some insoles for the heal these were way better.

Super Comfy, Good Looking
I have already adjusted myself to zero drop shoes so these took no time to get used to. Very comfortable right out of the box and good looking. I got the charcoal color made from hemp canvas. The hemp should outlast the original cotton versions. All of the current canvas colors are hemp. Looks good with jeans or kakis. I just got a pair of the leather Hana's also, love them. Surprisingly almost as light as the hemp. I wear a size 13 and these are a tad smaller than most 13's but still fit ok. They are about a quarter of an inch shorter than typical 13's. I have found that without an elevated heal sliding my foot forward it is less of an issue. If it were a hiking shoe where I would be doing a lot of downhill it might be an issue. They are also a little more narrow than other Xero shoes like the Prio, just a little. Still wider toe box than regular shoes. If you found the Prio to be a hair loose, these should be perfect.

Love these shoes
After using them for a few months I can't go back to a regular shoes. Arrived in good condition great. After using them for a while (months, if there is a pronounced curvature in other shoes, I can't wear them. I love the feeling of being flat on the ground barefoot. I though rocky ground would hurt but they do not.

Comfortable barefoot shoes, but I tore two pairs
I love the shoes and their design, including the zero-drop heels and open toebox. However, in a matter of weeks, I had minor tears in both pairs, one in the canvas and another in the protective toe cap. For $100, I won't be buying any more.
