I would definitely recommend this to a friend or family members!!
This is a great addition to the Polaris Optics Explorer High Powered 12X50 Monocular. It's not that hard to setup and use for taking great pictures. I've used it with my LG smartphone and I am happy with the results. Depending on the quality of the camera you are using, you may want to use a tripod to steady the picture for better results.

It's garbage ., it's very hard to work with.. adjusting this Polaris Optics to your phone takes way too long to adjust and get right., bad design . plus the rubber holder on the left keeps coming off. . This also does not work with my large tri-pod .. one word Garbage, don't buy it. there are other design's that work much better

Needs a little redesign, but could easily be pretty good. Very responsive seller is good....
The screw to connect the eyepiece clamp to the phone clamp does not tighten properly. This wouldn't be too hard to fix, and this is pretty solid otherwise, but I wanted a product that would work without intervention. The seller (Polaris Optics) was very responsive, and I'm very happy with the monocular I also bought from them, but this adapter needs some redesign. Unfortunately, it seems like this type of adapter is also going to be awkward if you want to take the phone out and put it back, so I'm not sure I'm going to replace this.UPDATE (9 August 2016): The manufacturer has been very responsive and will send me another version to see if it was a defect. If the new version proves better, I will update this review.

Hard to setup when camera lens is in the corner of phone.
To be clear, I have no complaint with the optics once the adapter is attached. My complaint is that it doesn't line up with the iPhone due to the camera being in the corner. Because of that offset, it takes a bit of time to get it to line up properly. Too bad there aren't more adjustments on the adapter to allow for a quicker set up.

Perfect for a beginner like me.
This product is not without issues; it is a little fussy to work with at the beginning, but once you get everything figured out, it works well. I'm a beginner at bird watching and my identification skills are pretty lousy, so I wanted a way to capture enough detail in a photo to be able to go back and study it later for identification. It accomplishes that beautifully, so I'm happy. In a few years, if I'm still into this hobby and I want to be able to take National Geographic-level photos, it will be time for ritzier equipment, but for the price this is a great little product.

Very good product. Recommended
Very good product and well made. Easy to install. Met my expectation. There are similar products but this is the best and with best price. You can see the image using this adapter with an Iphne and a Celestron 52322 12-36x60 scope and could not be more happy.
