Bunn Dependability- Great Coffee
This is the best single-serve coffee maker made. It’s a Bunn. What else is there to know? This is actually my second one of these. The first one lasted about 18 years. You just need to change the two small check valves and the spray head gasket (easy to get) once a year and enjoy the best coffee you can get at home, whether it’s pods, cups, or loose grounds.

From great to terrible
I’ve been using the Bunn MCU coffee maker for years and years, and it was always a great machine that made a great cup of coffee, and was trouble free to own.Not any more. My previous one lasted 6 years, and it was time for a new one so I ordered the exact same thing. I’m about 3 months into ownership and not only does it leak all over itself every time I make a cup now, it is squealing like you wouldn’t believe every time as well—loud, like wake the house up loud.I was so in love with this machine for so long, but as others have pointed out they must have changed something about the manufacturing. The design seems the same, but the build and component quality has absolutely cratered. I loved it so much, in fact, that when the one I ordered sucked I figured it was a defective unit and ordered another, but that one has the same issues.A few years ago I couldn’t recommend it enough, but now I’d say stay away. What a shame, because it really was a great coffee maker until they decided to change whatever they did about the manufacturing.

Really Good
Had to replace an old single cup brewer for ground coffee. I like very strong black coffee and this one is good for that. This machine does not have an on/off switch so I connected it to a watt-hour measuring plug-in to see if the "never off" function was going to eat a lot of electricity. Over 13 days always plugged in it used 4.86kwh or approximately 16 watts or for me @$0.15/kwh it cost 5-1/2 cents a day to be always ready to make one cup per day. A tiny plastic part was missing and I called Bunn and a few days later I got another whole brewing cup for ground coffee. Whats not to like about this?

Works good for small qty.
Have to be careful pouring water in dispense. Pod does not come out easy all the time, just need to pack it down below holder.

Great coffee maker you won’t regret this purchase
Love this BUNN single pod coffee maker. My son and a friend also have this coffee maker and they love it. It actually heats the coffee up to around 200° which is perfect easy to use and makes a great cup of coffee.

Nice coffee pot but water reservoir not big enough
Does not have a water reservoir big enough to do anything. 1 cup of water every time you want coffee.Just so you know.

on a DOWNWARD trend
Let me start by being fair. This should be a three star review, but I gave it to star because of its comparison to previous (identical) models.I have now had this unit for about a year and, although it is acceptable, it has its problems.this unit replaced an identical one that lasted about five years. A disappointing thing I learned from the start was that this newer version did not come with an overflow tray like the old one did. The tray is now considered “optional” and available as an additional purchase ($40 or so) from the manufacturer.Another problem is that several of the components are now plastic instead of metal as they were in my old maker. Finally, my last complaint has to do with a large amount of leaking from the unit. The leaking comes from where the water enters the “pod tray” to then pass through the coffee grounds. The leaking water does spill out and into the coffee cup below; however, this obviously dilute the coffee to some extent. This problem occurred slightly on the previous model but is MUCH worse with this one.The good thing I can say about this model is device is that, like my original model, it is simple and easy to use.
