I've had this battery for about a month and a half and it has been good so far! It looks pretty much identical to the original. Honestly, I wasn't expecting too much because this battery was pretty cheap and my laptop is pretty old so I thought it was definitely worth it! Prior to changing out the battery, I was still using the original battery and I could not unplug my laptop from the charger or it would just shut off immediately. It was such a huge difference after switching out to the new one! If I'm just doing some light browsing, I could probably get at least 5 or 6 hours from a full charge. I've even seen my laptop predict that it'll last for 8+ hours!I saw a lot of recommendations to calibrate the battery so I did do that before using the battery. I've seen some varying information on the process so do your research! What I did after installation was charge it until the indicator light turned green and left it charging for an extra 2 hours. Then I drained the battery and left it alone overnight. I plugged it up in the morning and just let it charge until it was full.The battery also came with a set of small screwdrivers. It was good that they came with the battery because they're not really common shapes. They were a bit flimsy though but I'm sure you can make do with it.I am curious to see how this battery will perform after a couple of months but I am pretty satisfied for now and I would recommend this to others!

My original review is below but wanted to update my experience with LQM, which as been outstanding***The reason for my update is the LQM replacement battery stopped charging after 9 month and LQM provided me a full replacement at no cost. This is awesome support and customer service! The battery arrived in 2 days!! Many thanks -- whenever I need a replacement battery, LQM will be first and only source.This is a good battery if you have an older MacBook. Price and ease of installation is great, but the battery life is a bit lower than an original battery. Max time is about 2. hours, which is acceptable for me but may not suit everyone's needs.

The battery was simple to install and provided the sets necessary to calibrate the new battery. Seems to be working fine after one month. It's like having a new laptop.Update: one year laterBattery is dead. I use the laptop infrequently. It’s been a few months or more since the last use and now the battery is dead and won’t charge. Diagnostic suggests battery condition is nominal, but it only has 6mAh and won’t charge any more.

The battery works great, but the screwdrivers were not the accurate ones for the installation. I had to purchase a separate kit. However, once done, this was super simple to install and it has worked well.

It's hard to find a battery for older laptops, and this battery was great. It's well made where all the holes line up to where they need to be and the kit also includes the tools needed for the replacement. Battery holds its charge really well and lasts pretty long. Brought life back to an old laptop!!

Battery will not charge less than a year later. Only way my MacBook Pro will stay on is to keep it connected to power.
