Q: How often does this filter need to be replaced? We are using it as a whole house filter.

Ours is a whole house system as well. We need to replace the filter on average about every 4-6 weeks. However, that really depends on the amount of sediment the well pump is encountering and that varies. Our well is 475 feet deep and we are in North/Central Massachusetts.

Q: 0.5 microns or 5.0 microns??? Thought any filter under 5 was not string wound.
