Q: can I use this product to adhere my foam backed vinyl wall covering to rigid foam insulation? Thanks!

I would assume so. I used it to adhere fabric to acoustic insulation so I would imagine that's a similar application.

Q: can I glue car floor carpet to metal side panels

I would think so, depending on what kind of backing the carpet has. We used this to attach synthetic speaker cloth to an MDF-type board when redoing our Bose speakers. The adhesive was easy to work with, and has held up for 7 or so years, with no sign of deterioration.

Q: Will this product dry transparent ?

No, it dries off white or creamy
