Run parallel printer from USB port
So, I have a very old, very reliable parallel printer (HP Laserjet 5P) that used to run off a printer server. I had some network changes that made me unable to use that anymore. I wanted to run this printer off an old iMac running Ubuntu. This machine has no parallel port. This simple cable did the job. Hooked it up, turned it on, logged onto CUPS and there the printer was. Printed both the Ubuntu test page and web pages. Seems well made but I can't speak to durability yet. Save me a lot of money either buying a new printer or a new printer server.

Not what I needed, but I knew that was a possibility.
This works great for printers and some CNC machines. However, I needed it for a GameShark v3.2 for N64 and those only work with a *very* specific USB-to-parallel cable. This was not one of those. I am leaving a good review as the cable does what it's supposed to. I unfortunately could not find it's multiplexer chip to confirm it was compatible with my use case online, so in case anyone else is looking, this is not compatible with the N64 GameShark. For that use case, my suggestion is a PCI Parallel port for desktop computers. Compatible USB adapters have become nearly impossible to find since 2010.

Didn't work for me, still looks to be of good quality
Didn't work for my application which was connecting an old CNC machine, but the product should work for most other things using this port like printers etc.

Good looking quality. Pocket Progammer II EEPROM burner. would NOT detect. Via USB. Purchased. A direct systemboard. Parallel/ header connector. Restored my EEPROM burner.

did not work for a MOTU Time Piece
I bought this for my music rack. I have an older MOTU timepiece that uses a serial connection. I was warned that I should only buy a certain brand for it to work but I didn't listen. The MOTU does not show up on my computer and the software does not detect the device. When I plug it into my old computer, it works so I know it's not the unit. But a better brand. The only one I read that works is the Sabrent. This one doesn't

Does not work with my Minolta film scanner using TWAIN
The product description photos show that it will work with a scanner. I attached the UGREEN cable to my Windows computer, and the USB device was identified as "Prolific Technology IEEE-1284 Controller", Description: "USB Printing Support". But, the various scanner software packages I tried, which use TWAIN to recognize scanners, did not detect my Minolta F-2900 film scanner, connected via DB25. I emailed UGREEN, and they informed me that my scanner uses SCSI DB25, not parallel. So, my fault for not getting a SCSI adapter.

The price for this adapter was very good. Needed it for a laptop that required a parallel port to run some older software.. It worked perfect

I am totally impressed by the quality of this UGREEN USB to DB25 Parallel Printer Cable Female Connector. Amazon does not seize to impress me with its fast delivery. I ordered in the afternoon and next morning the item was in my mailbox. Look at the packaging. Look at the quality of the connector part, the blue inside. I also took a photo on how smooth it sits with the male end of the cable. AND look at the monster Label printer I have. Works well. Quality is impressive. Hands down 5-Star! Thank you, UGREEN!

Habe das Kabel bestellt, da ich noch einen alten Drucker mit Parallel - Anschluß habe, der wegen seiner speziellen Eignschaften auch nicht ausgetauscht werden kann. Da ich mit einer PCI Express Karte nicht den erhofften Erfolg verzeichen konnte, sollte dieses Kabel zum Einsatz kommen. Alles Top, Kabel angeschlossen, Drucker wurde sofort erkannt und war druckbereit. Einfacher geht es nicht.

Lo he comprado para poder usar un viejo escáner cuya única opción de conexión era a través de un antiguo conector paralelo, lo he conectado a un PC con Windows 10 y sin problema, no ha hecho falta instalar drivers. El cable tiene en un extremo un conector hembra DB25 y en el otro un conector macho USB. El cable se ve de buena calidad pero hay más baratos que cumplen la misma función.

Esta excelente este cable, no me causo problemas por drivers en windows 10 la version de creators 1703 compilacion 15063.483 y sin probelmas de impresion, excelente producto
