This works great to keep an eye on my kids in the hour they arrive home before me. It captures great video and sound and is able to send notifications for movement - great as an alert to know when someone arrives. It was super easy to set up with my home network and iPhone.

These are extremely nice cameras and when setup and working they are well worth the cost.They can be a bit odd to setup (and I never was able to get the PC version of the monitoring software to function) but if you can get through that they are really nice. I spent about 30 minutes on the first one and almost double that on the second one.The ability to use hardwired or wireless Ethernet is a big plus and you can monitor them from multiple cell phones with their application.Looks like it supports up to 4 cameras (I only needed two). The wireless was a little clunky to configure, but I brought them up on wired Ethernet and then configured the WiFi and disconnected them to relocate.If they were a little easier to setup I would give them 5 stars.

These are one of the worst cameras I’ve ever gotten. The first time you set them up they work fine. But whatever you do, do not disconnect them and try to reset them up because it won’t work. They are easy to set up the first time but for some reason if you try to reinstall it it’s almost impossible to get them hooked back up. And their customer service sucks. I wrote to them for over two years now trying to get my 3 cameras fixed and they’ve never get back to me. And I’m not one to put dirty laundry out there but after trying again for 2 hours to hook them up and writing them again and still not getting any response back from them I said enough is enough. Buyers beware do not buy these Cameras! They will go out with the trash tonight!!!

The app is mediocre and occasionally we have problems with it freezing. The camera itself wouldn't connect over our wifi, but luckily our router is nearby so we were able to connect via ethernet cable. (According to some other reviews, the inability to connect over wifi is common, so if that is a deal-breaker for you, I'd suggest not ordering this camera.) Overall, it has worked pretty well over the last 4 months. The 2 way audio is slightly delayed and static-y, so not reliable, but we don't use that often. Yesterday, the camera started making a high pitched noise and won't work anymore after several attempts to reset. I've contacted the manufacturer since we're past Amazon's 30-day return period, so I will update once it's resolved.

I purchased a BH1818 v3 about 3 years ago and based on my positive experience, I decided to purchase one for my Dad so he could keep an eye on things at home. This is not the same unit that I purchased, despite the nomenclature being the same. Mine has a mic input and an audio out. This does not. The reset button on mine is on the bottom of the unit and the reset button on this unit is on the back. That is actually an improvement. Unfortunately, this unit does not work with Verizon FIOS or at least with the Verizon FIOS router currently being distributed. Bayit Tech Support (Haris) was good though. They advised me to try something, that ultimately didn't work but they promised a replacement if it didn't and they followed through. Although the replacement works, it does not retain the camera settings when you exit the app, so you have to manually re-add the camera using the UID, which I saved in a memo on my Dad's phone, every time you relaunch the app. Quirky but a workaround nonetheless. Works fine with Optimum.

I bought 4 cameras. I have two in one home and two in another 20 miles apart. I just tap on the app on my phone or iPad and a window comes up with all 4 views. I can tap on each view and it opens full screen with the ability to pan up or down, zoom in, listen and speak. I cam also take a photo or video right my iPad or phone. They also have motion detection which sent me an alert photo if any motion is detected. They allow me to see my properties and make sure they are secure. I love the peace of mind they offer.

We bought two of these when our baby monitor died. The cameras were really easy to setup. The picture quality is good and so far we haven't had any problems.One very important thing that I don't remember the directions covering, be absolutely sure you change the default password for the camera. We initially did not, and the worst part is I know better. After a few days of use the camera was pointed in a different direction than it originally was. Not knowing if someone had adjusted it I reset the camera and a day or so later it was pointing in a different direction again. We have since changed the password and haven't had this issue again. I suspect it isn't hard to find an application that allows you to scan for this type of camera and try passwords.

This product is higher than my expectation, easy to set up, works pretty good and the quality is excellent, the fact that you can move it Right and left up and down make it the best in the market right now
