I read on etrailer that the square head of the bolt is 3/4". Guy said he pulled the part and physically measured it. According to him, Thule's response of this being an m8 is incorrect. According to the standard measurement he took, it's an m6. There was one other listed as a manufacturer who said it is an m6 as well. Maybe Thule's rep got his numbers crossed.

Thank you for reaching out! The rails on some Retrax tonneau covers are compatible with a specific model of Thule FitKit and Foot Pack that allows a set of roof racks to be mounted above the bed. This track system is not compatible with Thule T-track mount accessories, like this adapter kit. Please contact Retrax for more information about which products they produce are compatible with Thlue accessories.
