Good shoes for wide feet and space for toes to move.
Feel great. I had an issue with the inserted food pad sliding up. Personally i took them out but you could secure it with adhesive or something.

Stylish
These are great and look awesome with jeans. Only issue I had was the inserts kept sliding back and my toes would hang off the end. Once I removed those it is fine.

Durable, awesome mid boot/shoe
Shoes on the top/left are now shoes on bottom/right are 1 year old. Both ordered from amazon. New just arrived, old just came out of the wash. The old have been awesome been used for long hikes with heavy packs (many miles) on road and through various terrain, have been soaked in swamp water and were worn on concrete surfaces for 8+ hrs a day. Been awesome through it all. Held up well to washing, the heel separated on right shoe because I aways slip that one off first with my left foot. Material is very durable and cleans up nice (I dried it this time on low, a little curling in the sole but I was in a hurry). Been washed probly 6-7 times. They smell now but still clean up pretty well when washed with vinegar or baking soda and detergent.Great zero drop, have worn without insoles and I liked them but went back to insoles for concrete. They aren’t as wide as Lem’s or Softstar but they also look better and are wide enough if you get the right size/use good foot posture.Love the tread too, has done well on slick muddy/leafy slopes and slick concrete/metal/truck beds etc.I saw other comments say the sole separated, maybe those were lemons. My heel separated because I abused it. The toe has barely separated after a year of hard useThey dry out quickly too.Size 13, I have about a thumb’s width between big toe and tip of shoe. Allows my pinky to land around the widest portion of shoe. Not correct toes compatible for me,makes my toes hurt. Yes I would appreciate a little more width by the pinky toe so I could order a smaller size but the space up front allows my toes to not get crushed when driving hard with my feet/sprinting so it’s fine. Will write back on this second pair if I remember.

Ok but not for me
First off, seller and shipping are great. No problems there.I struggle with finding the right size in Xero shoes. It seems their sizing is extremely inconsistent between models. I tried on the men’s 8 in asphalt and 8.5 in black. I normally wear a men’s 8. My foot measures 26cm (or about 10.25 inches). The shoes both measured 28cm (or 11 inches). From the outside, the shoes look and measure the same, but my toes touched the end of the size 8. The 8.5 fit well. The asphalt color was better looking than the black. The black pair looked like old man shoes. I’m not a fan of the plastic looking stripes. Makes the shoe look cheap. Lastly, the day lite hiker comes just below my ankle bone which really doesn’t offer much ankle support out on the trail which is what I was looking for in a hiking boot. I did; however, find the general comfort of the boot to be good walking around the house. In the end I decided to return both and try Xero ridgeway’s instead. Fingers crossed they fit and function as desired.

not natural toe box
i paid twice as much because my first natural step knockoff brand shoes fell apart after they got wet twice.these are too narrow. way more narrow than the knockoffs. all my toes are rubbing against each other. i took out the insole and they're still too narrow.Xero does NOT have a natural toe box as described. this is so important to know for people: barefoot natural step consumers who NEED it.i am a woman, a size EU40, USM7, USW8.5. these USM7s are no wider toe box than Skechers Wide.Zero Drop checks out, that's it so far.sucks i still have to wrap my toes. 😑Will update with durability once worn in the sticks.update edit: they're not waterproof at all. they get soaked instantly on contact with dew. the stripe embellishments on the outside peel off once the shoes get wet. the sole started separating at the ankle bend after about 50 miles.wouldn't buy again, would not recommend.

Not durable
These boots just don't hold up to regular wear.

SLIPPERY
Wanted to rate 3.5 but half stars not possible.I love everything about these shoes except two things, unfortunately one of those cost these a full star rating as it's a pretty big deal.First and main issue is the tread compound. It straight up SUCKS on anything wet. Parking lot striping in the rain is literally hazardous in these, I couldn't imagine them on a trail with a creek crossing, eeekkkk. The second and more minor issue is the tongue with is a little too narrow, tongues almost always rotate a little, all shoes do it but when these do the tongue is so narrow that it'll push off to the side and the top of your foot/front ankle will end up against the laces. It be 1/4 in wider on each side, so 1/2 wider overall. All that being said, the flex a toe room is fantastic. I mainly use these as work shoes (casual office mainly) so the work fine for most of my primary needs. If Xero reads this PLEASE, PLEASE UPDATE THE TREAD COMPOUND. I'd love to pick up another pair for hiking but as slippery as they are i'd be really worried in wet conditions. :/

Great shoes!
Disregard the reviews that say these soles wear down too fast, those people are clearly overweight. This shoe has seen some insane stuff and holds up well. However, I'd struggle to call it a 'barefoot' shoe. As someone who frequently walks actually barefoot on hikes, this is basically nothing like that. However, it does provide a little extra tactile feedback, which is better than most shoes. If you are looking for a barefoot experience, take your shoes off. If you want hiking shoes with a little extra ground feel and wiggle room for your toes, buy these. Also, not sure if these are intended for the summer but they insulate quite well, and I assume they would be fantastic in the cold. I find my feet get a little too hot in weather that is 80F+.
