an absolute MUST if you want to use coconut oil the HEALTHY way...pls read!
PLEASE read why this is a must for anyone who uses coconut oil as skin/body care. this product is exactly for coconut oil use, not just a universal container as many travel bottles or dispensers are. it is designed specifically so that the oil can be used the right way as well as travel with you. The fortunate folks who use coconut oil (pls see my review under coco &co for the many many benefits of its use), know how wonderful it is for hair, skin, body, etc. however often make a huge mistake when using it that they may not even realize they are doing ---they get a jar and reach in w/their fingers to remove product. possibly put on face w/make up and then....ready?...reach BACK in for more... yikes! .this contaminates the lovely oil and now you are left w/a nice jar of bacteria to put back on your skin later on. some use a spoon to scoop it out but if the product is in liquid form (it will change from solid to liquid based on temperature of the room you are in), it is even harder to remove b/c you can't really use a spoon so people "dip" their fingers in. This def won't be enough product by just dipping so one will have no choice but to double or triple dip! yikes again!the other issue is for travel. most coconut oil comes in a glass container and even if one chooses the grocery store version, they will have the need to transfer from the huge container to a travel size to take w/them. I have tried every container out there, even those designed for liquids for traveling. I end up w/a coconut mess. I use for make up removal as well as a nice night time moisture cream for my face and therefore hate to leave a favorite product behind if i'm traveling. this dispenser solves ALL the problems. it is a soft container that can easily travel and not break as glass would and will not leak. I can use this at home as my every day dispenser and then simply throw in my travel bag if leaving. by squeezing as much as you need when you need it you do NOT double dip your hands in the jar and therefore your oil stays nice and CLEAN. the same concept of a hand soap dispenser except this one is a squirt type method. The instructions warn that when in liquid form, you only need to squeeze lightly and they are correct! it has a powerful squirt so be gentle. a harder squeeze is needed if in more of a soft solid form. if much cooler temperatures and it for some reason ends up a very stiff solid....a bit of warming up first would be needed and then you can squirt it out. have been searching for YEARS for the perfect container for my coconut oil and can't say enough how wonderful this is! The fact it is not JUST a container for travel but also a way to dispense the oil for use in a clean, easy way for daily use is perfect! anyone who uses the oil needs to get this. so so so happy I found this and it comes in a 3 pack. which means a lucky friend will benefit from this.....keeping the other extra for myself just in case. :-)

Took a chance and I'm glad I did
Took a chance and I'm glad I did! These little things are fantastic. I've only just gotten them but so far, they look and perform exactly as advertised. Getting the coconut oil in was a snap. The packaging insert has instructions which suggest gently heating the jar in warm water and then pouring the oil in once it's liquified. The mouths are wide enough (7/8" diameter) that you could easily do that without a funnel if you've got a steady hand. Me? I was excited and impatient so I used a small ziploc baggie with one corner snipped off like a piping bag, which worked out great. No mess, quick and easy. What's most pleasing about these is the thoughtful design. Rather than a plastic cap with a separate silicone gasket seated on it, the gasket and the main silicone body portion of the tube are one continuous piece, with the bottom part of the plastic cap fitting snugly around it like a collar. The top part of the plastic cap screws on tightly, the flip-top lid doesn't feel wiggly or cheaply made, and there's a secondary little bit of silicone where the hole is that acts as a regulator so it only squirts stuff out when you want it to. I tested this by squeezing the hell out of it and smacking into it a few times to see if I could get the lid to pop open or any oil to seep out, and everything held fast! I don't know how often I'd find a need to bring some coconut oil along with me when I leave the house but I wouldn't hesitate to toss one of these into my handbag or backpack if such a need did arise. One of them *will* however be taking up residence in my shower; the flat-on-both-ends thing that makes these easy to fill also means no more caps being filled with water when you go to flip the lid open :) Very happy with this purchase.Dimensions for those who like knowing:3 1/4" tall1 3/4" diameter at the base

I cannot say enough wonderful things. I accidentally ordered 2 sets of tubes
I cannot say enough wonderful things. I accidentally ordered 2 sets of tubes. I figured I'd return one set if they weren't that good. They're amazing. I read the directions before use, cleaned them and checked the seals. My coconut oil was liquid and I used a mini ladle to fill up each of the 3 tubes. I kept the 2 I wasn't using in the bag they came in. I had to slowly and lightly squeeze the liquid coconut oil out. I used the tubes for a month before taking them on the road. I brought one with me to Ireland. I filled it up, put it in a ziplock bag, and put it in my toiletry bag. I have traveled with coconut oil before and with disastrous results. I'm happy to report that with the cocotube, there was no leakage at all. With the cooler climate in Ireland, my coconut oil was more solid. I was able to squeeze the bottle as I'd regularly squeeze a lotion bottle. I used my oil as body and face lotion, for shaving, and taming frizz in my hair. I also brought my coconut oil camping this year. It was great to have a familiar, multipurpose lotion with me and not have to fear losing any or destroying my luggage. I have one tube exclusively set aside with lavender and eucalyptus oils for bug repellent. I'm afraid that the oil might degrade the bottle. So far so good though. Now that the weather is getting cooler, I find that I'm squeezing my tube harder to get the oil out. I'm going to start using body heat to warm up the oil before squeezing some out. When I filled my bottles last week, I used a spoon. These methods are working for me now. I'll gladly accept any suggestions. Hope this was helpful.

Finally solved my storage issue
Perfect! Solved my problem immediately!I buy my coconut oil in bulk because I use it for so many things, but primarily as a moisturizer. With winter approaching and my eczema flaring up, I needed to deal with the problem of large half-empty jar of hardened coconut oil. These are small but a little goes a long way so the size is pretty fantastic really. And they are fairly tough little silicone bottles, holding up to plenty of squeezing and squishing once the oil hardened again. A little rolling between warm hands and decent pressure is all it takes to squeeze a little oil out. And there are sort of 2 ways to do this: 1) only fill the tube up to the measurement line so that you can soften the oil a bit easier and use the air in the tube to help with the pressure, or 2) (what worked better for me) fill the tube to the top of the container and remove the cap entirely to use the tube almost like a giant chapstick of coconut oil. This worked better for me to swipe over the backs of my hands and arms without getting my palms oily too.Now I would only recommend using these for beauty purposes- getting a sizable amount to use for cooking or cleaning would probably be a lot of work. But these are great for using in the shower or keeping in your car or purse. Small, secure, discreet and neutral. I really love them and I'm so happy to have resolved my issue. No weird smells, no tears, no leaks, no problems with these at all, and a great price in my opinion.

Finally! Found coconut oil dispensers!
As a devout coconut oil user for all surfaces of my body and for "personal" use, I have searched far and wide for a method of storing and dispensing coconut oil. Until I bought these dispenser tubes I was stuck using small plastic containers with lids - which is acceptable but still messy and not useful if you want to avoid getting oil on your hands. I use The CocoTube Coconut Oil Dispensers like a large "chap stick" and apply it directly to my skin. Although the oil is solid (but still soft), these containers allow me to squeeze the oil and mix it to soften it, which allows the oil to dispense through the hole in a soft stick form. If the oil gets too warm however, the top layer will pop out and liquid oil will pour out, but luckily this is not a frequent occurrence. I microwave my favorite jar of coconut oil for a minute, then pour the liquid into the dispensers. A very big plus I have discovered to microwaving the oil is that once the oil is heated to it's pure liquid state, the hardened consistency becomes smoother than its original hardened state. There are no tiny little balls of hard coconut that appear once you apply the oil, the ones that have to be smashed or peeled off the smooth skin surface. My only wish was that the size of the containers was larger.Very satisfied with this product.
