Covers the basics
The book does a good job covering the basics using easy to follow examples to code out. I have some other books by this author and he really does a good job with the foundational topics. I read the ebook and coded out the examples in about 3 or 4 days. I've used go in the past and this was a good referesher. Be warned this is NOT a book thats going to make you an expert... Its a $10.00 quick and easy overview of the language. Good for people who may not like the online format of 'The Tour of Go'. Topics not covered Testing, Go Modules. For the price I thought it was a good buy.

Good as a review, not as a primary resource
I'm about 80% through this book and I found that some of the examples are not really clear (embedded interfaces for example) do not aide in understanding the concepts.I had gone through a video series on GO and I used this to review, and for that it works fairly well. The pages/subjects are colourized and that helps jump to specific sections pretty easilyThe information in each section is quite light. Each topic seems to be able 2 pages. Overall, as a secondary/quick look up resource this book is pretty good. Avoid this if you have no experience

Good introduction
Helpful in getting my feed wet. Only a few mistakes in the code examples in the kindle book when using VS Code to edit and test. Will help me understand code that I have to work with on an upcoming project.

Link a server
I wish they could give more examples on how to create a server with cyber security features. Also how to maker hour server accessible to other people.

Good coverage but some errors
Good introduction. For those who already know how to code it is an easy read. But it does contain errors:- in one location net/http is imported but the text refers to "to" instead of "http"- In another location the sample text output in the code is "Go ..." But the sample output says "C++ ..." which is an obvious error having copied the (similar) output from the C++ book in this same series.Still worth reading but I encourage the author to correct those errors.

Excellent for a Java Programmer turning to Go
Excellent for a Java Programmer turning to Gosome examples do not work natively on the mac (specifically the file io section)

Useless on Kindle
I have a black and white Kindle but this book uses colors for highlighting, making it useless on Kindle. Furthermore on Kindle, there is no table of contents.

Worst font for code listings
For some reason the whole Easy Steps series uses the most 🫏 font known to human kind. Too bad there are already 200 in the series and they still don't realize it. I find it very distracting, a proper monospaced font is a must.
