Absolutely. I use it to check the PH levels of my fermented hot sauce for shelf storage safety.

Does this work to test the pH in sourdough and final bread dough?

Hello Yes as long as it's the one with the spear tip electrode for easy penetration. Other wise you have to make slurry with a portion of dough and deionized water. Then you can use a normal meter. I have the Water Meter and so far it has been one of the best meters I've had. Better then way more expensive ones I'm not allowed to name here. Hope that helps Denny at www.DMSeeleysTools.com

Yes. It is critical for synchronizing the meter with the probe.
