Q: Does the shown tube trimmer come with the fittings? If not, how best to square up the tube ends?

I did not get any tube trimmer with my order but that was quite awhile ago. They may have changed and now include one? I cut the tubing either with a sharp utility knife or a mini tubing cutter. The ends do not have to be perfect.

Q: Will these work for 3/8 id 1/2 od plastic tubing?

No. These fittings are for 3/8 o.d. pipe. I found out the hard way that they do not fit 3/8 i.d. by 1/2 o.d. pipe. I ordered them thinking that they were for 3/8 i.d. pipe, since the usual way to describe pipe and tubing is by the nominal i.d.

Q: Can it be used for compressed air like 60 psi? what is the rating?

Don't know. Air is a lot less a dense than water, and water in our city is only 30 PSI, so it's tough to say without attempting, but I'd look for a more use-appropriate device.
