Loved since 2009
We have been using glasslock since 2009, with our last restock in 2018. While two of the original lids broke in the past few years, the majority are still going strong. Which is far more longevity than I would have expected from anything plastic, as we use them for leftovers and work lunches all the time. Awesome quality, love the sturdy glass and leakproof seal of the lids. Over time I've lost a few and finally ordered new ones this year. Most impressive - they still work together! ie. the old lid fits the new glass and the new lids fit the old glass. Awesome for not searching for the right top, they all work!

Best glass containers!
We switched all of our containers to glass a few years ago and we love Glasslock!Your good only touches glass, the lid is plastic, but I don't mind. All of the Glasslocks are spill proof, meaning you can easily carry liquids, soups, etc and there will be NO LEAKING!Glasslock is our family's favorite containers for packing lunches from leftovers. They stack nicely in the fridge and you can put them in the micro to heat up without being worried about your food touching plastic. I do not use the lids in the microwave.

Not oven safe--why?
Glasslock has great reviews, and I really love their product. ...however, I sense a bit of scheming as to what is listed on Amazon, and what is listed elsewhere. Specifically, and as of this date, to order individual containers, or small sets of three, the Amazon listings are all "Not Oven Safe". That limitation is clearly stated in the fourth or fifth bullet of the description. I missed it, and it is entirely my fault, which is why I paid $15.00 (almost 1/3 the cost of the containers) to ship them back. Now, if you go to the Glasslock site, which I did, to determine specific sizes,, there are lots of oven-safe options, which I liked. I decided to order from Amazon, instead, due to free shipping (prime), $1.00 cheaper, points earned on my card, etc. However, on Amazon, none of these sizes in individual listings or small groups is "oven safe". Only the group orders of 36 pieces or more are oven-safe. Again, it is my fault for missing this important distinction. So, in addition to the $15.00 to ship the "not for oven" containers back, I ordered the same sizes from Glasslock, which were oven safe, for approximately $15 in shipping. Why would Glasslock make "not oven-safe" and "oven-safe" containers of exactly the same size, and expect the consumer to go to this level of minutiae to realize the distinction? ...and all over $1.00 more? So, here's what I think (and I realize that this makes me sound like a disenfranchised conspiracy theorist): I think Glasslock manufactured a lot of "not oven safe" containers, and then realized that these didn't sell as well, or, people put these "not oven safe" containers in the oven, and the containers cracked, and...well..disaster--gooey food all over the oven and dripping out onto the floor... So, to remedy this, they started making ones that were freezer-, microwave- (sans lid) AND oven-safe. ...but, how to unload the ones in the warehouse that weren't oven-safe? ...Amazon! Maybe my theory is wrong, but, in any case, if, like me, you have a small kitchen, or have small kitchens in rentals or guest houses, get the maximum versatility--get the oven-safe ones! Your guests and renters are going to believe that these containers are like Pyrex, but with better lids, and can, of course, be put in the oven... Putting non-oven-safe containers that look like they should be oven-safe in rentals and guest houses has the alarming potential to lead to a very big mess. So, as of today, that means that you should go to the Glasslock site, and order direct (and pay more). Learn from my $30.00 mistake. Get the maximum versatility, and the maximum disaster-proofedness--Order the ones from the Glasslock site that are oven-safe as well. That said, I love Glasslock--they are like a canning jar, in terms of odor containment, in a square, or rectangular shape that lends itself better to storing certain kinds of food. These are good containers, and I will continue to buy them, and tout their virtues, but, please, .read the fine print on what you are ordering. Why would anyone not opt for "oven -safe"? Always?!

Not stackable
My first purchase of this brand stored nicely. These seal well, are sturdy, but (darn it!) they won’t stack, so my glass tower is precarious. Otherwise, a good investment for me as I’m trying to de-plasticize my home.

Bought for quality
I bought these because a friend left one at my house. I used it, fell in love with the quality and love that it does not leak in husbands lunch bag.*****

First impression - high quality UPDATED July 2022
I've used these every day for about a month. My first impression is these are high quality. They are heavy. We bought these to try to reduce microwaving food with plastic. We put a plate over the top when we microwave.Edit: It's November 2020. These have held up beautifully and look nearly brand new. Would buy again.Edit: It's July 2022. These still look new. They were a great investment.

Sturdy and reliable, proven over time.
Glasslock is one of the first companies to make sturdy glass food containers, so I ALWAYS look for this brand. My older containers are 10-12 years old and still going strong, so I know I can rely on GLASSLOCK.
