Extremely Disappointing Experience
Review for Sony NP-FZ100 Battery Purchased on Amazon –I ordered the Sony NP-FZ100 battery from Amazon, delivered on November 10th, only to discover it was defective, used, physically damaged, and non-functional right out of the box. On the same day, I contacted Amazon, hoping for a resolution. Instead, I was directed to call Sony's toll-free number. Sony, in turn, instructed me to take the battery to a service center.I submitted the battery to Sony’s service center on November 11th, expecting prompt assistance. However, as of today, there is still no resolution. Amazon keeps insisting that I follow up with Sony, while Sony's toll-free service asks for a “job sheet number” from the service center. Meanwhile, the service center refuses to issue this number and redirects me back to Amazon.Adding to the chaos, the invoice from Amazon does not even mention the battery's serial number, which is causing further complications in the claim process. This endless back-and-forth between Amazon and Sony has been an incredibly frustrating experience, with zero accountability from either party.I strongly caution others against purchasing high-value or sensitive products like batteries from Amazon, as their after-sales service has proven to be absolutely abysmal in my case. This level of inconvenience is unacceptable, and neither Amazon nor Sony seems willing to take responsibility. Buyers beware!
