Compared to StingEze Max2
Since I live in the Gulf Coast region, mosquitoes and fire ants are an ever present concern. I am always looking for both repellent and bite relief products. This Cutter Bite MD stick has 5% Benzocaine, 3% Camphor and 1.35% Phenol. For me, this combination is not quite as effective as the StingEze Max2 formula of 10% Benzocaine and 1.35% Phenol, though the difference is minimal.I find that I need to use either stick immediately after a bite to get any relief at all and I always need to repeat the application. Both products recommend applying again in 10 to 15 minutes for a maximum of 3 times in a day but I tend to exceed that. This Cutter product does provide some short term relief but it is not effective against the continued itchiness of my mosquito bites. However, it does help reduce the swelling if applied quickly enough.

Gave me a very severe allergic reaction / histamine shock
Warning! Test this before applying more than a drop to your body! I used this on a couple of mosquito bites I got outdoors in FL. They quickly blew up to an intensely itchy, puffed up giant welt patch up to 3x 4 inches long. I was incredibly ill and was going into allergic shock, had to take claritin and prednisone, lasted about 5 days! I thought it was from a certain type of mosquito, I had never had this reaction before. About 2 weeks later I got one small bite and put this stuff on, same thing. I thought wow, this is crazy, could it be from this stick and not from the bite at all? I tested it on another arm in a spot that was totally fine and unbitten. Within half hour the same reaction happened, on normal, unbroken skin. It is in the exact square shape i rolled the test on, third day later it still itches and burns horribly after putting on every type of cortisone, etc. I don't think I'm allergic to camphor as I have used vicks . Please do not put this all over your bug bites like I did unless you patch test it first!!! I put on all kinds of lotions, beauty prods, other bug creams with zero issues like this before. What the heck are they putting in there!?

Applicator Is Worthless
Here’s the problem. The applicator tip is worthless. It’s covered in some type of felt fabric. It has a ball underneath that when you push down on it the fluid should come out. But it doesn’t work. You can push with you finger to try and get medication but it barely gets wet. It’s a poor design that is worthless.

Worked great on Yellow jacket sting!
I knew this worked for mosquito bites. My husband scratches his ankles raw without it. But this last trip to our cabin my aunt was stung by ground nesting hornets 3 times. She was in agony after even after pain meds. She saw our bite stick on the counter and used it and got immediate relief!! She is an extremely honest person and not prone to exaggeration and she said the pain was gone. Even felt great the next morning. I’m a believer!!

Doesn't flow well
The medication in the tube works pretty fairly, though I don't prefer the camphor scent. The problem is that when pressing the tube against plump body parts like the stomach doesn't push the plunger in far enough to release the fluid. I've had to use my finger to push it in so the medicine will flow out, so it gets messy. Small so it's good for travel.
