I was after a new smartphone as mine is a couple of years old. A friend put me onto the Realme 7 Pro, he has been using it for a while and was happy. So I ordered the newer model Realme 8 Pro. A sleek phone, lighter than my Galaxy s10 plus, faster response time.So I use it for the day and I was happy with it, a great phone for the price, until I tried to watch a youtube video and the sound quality was poor. The realme 7 pro has stereo speakers so you would think the realme 8 pro would have the same, wrong. The realme 8 Pro only has a single speaker and I thought the sound quality was a bit tinny and quiet on some videos, then loud on others.So I was not happy so I have returned the phone to amazon. Dont get me wrong, if this phone had stereo speakers like the previous model I would have been happy. This is a lovely phone, easy to set up, easy to navigate, but the single speaker seems like a down grade to me. I loved the face recognition on this phone. an impressive 108 mp camera. Android 11.A good value phone for the money. Just not right for me.

Ok firstly, the fingerprint reader on the phone works when it wants to, secondly, the facial feature is unable to be used in apps, and last but not least, the unremovable "dare to leap" sticker on the back is fairly off-putting. The phone is supposed to have a 108 megapixel camera on it which I tried using to photograph the recent blood moon and it didn't even come out like the moon at all failing to make me believe that it is indeed a 108 megapixel camera. Other than that, the device has a crisp touch feature, reacts really well to touches and looks fairly colourful compared to other android devices that I have tried so that's a plus feature. The dartcharge plug and wire is out of this world. Has a 30 minutes from flat to fully charged feature on it which is very useful. Transfer rates from PC to phone or vice versa is also great running at 250mbps with a bonus because of the wire. Improvements could be done to this device such as vibration intensity upon touchpad touching could be added because I'm tired of my fingers feeling like they're about to fall off. Other that the points made, this device is fairly decent. I'd still pick a Samsung though but as an alternative, this is a great device.

as for gaming has handled most of my high demanding games ark survival evolved mobile was pretty smooth even on max resolution and graphics dissidia opera omnia hit quality equal to preview streams on youtube Square enix channel camera quality is near perfect also extra sim slot exists not all phone descriptions read true some change before release the only issue is i can fit so much into one day i feel its more fun to use and sharing food creations with friends

Lovely phone, narrower than some but still larger than a small female wants! Case makes it wider anyway! Set up viua the site recommended took numerous attempts but eventually managed it . Then it was excellent - cloning my old phone. No radio and no 5G are the main downsides for me. Great battery - - 1st chanrge after 2 days use took an hour maybe a bit more but brilliant. Nice and clear and lots of customisable things that are useful to help get used to using the phone - I could change button lay out so they worked like my old phone. (Moto G5S) . Camera is great though colours indoor a bit yellow. Pity it isn't 1 cm narrower and 2 cms shorter... Face recognition excellent - so I rarely need the password. I set thumb print but am not currently using it - face works brilliantly so it oepens up for me on pressing side button.

I like the night mode where i can set the phone to turn off then turn back on in morning meaning I only have to charge the phone once a day. Camera is a great boost from my previous 16 mp main lens. Overall size is about the same as Galaxy s10+ 6.4 inch is the height not the diagonal dimension. great phone for not a lot of cash......very happy with it

Love my new Realme 8 Pro. As the rear slogan says I Dared to Leap to this young mobile company. The specs where good and I like the styling. Camera quality is excellent. Battery will last 2 days on lightish use but it will charge in less than an hour.Screen quality is good and speaker volume more than adequate.Why buy a flagship from Samsung or Apple when you can have this little cracker. You'll not use all the high end functions they have anyway.

Decent phone for the price, the all plastic body is not good, memory and sim card single slot is a bit flimsy, need a rough case to protect phone, camera and screen. Amazon or the mfg should provide one. Awesome 55w charging

If you care about cameras, then get this device, if not, get the last gen Realme 7 Pro, exact and if not, better, specs than the 8 Pro. But this is a solid phone that ticks all boxes.
